"Yes," said Mihoshi with a nod. "It's supposed to go to title characters who are made to suffer from various magical curses and stuff like that."
"What's a 'title character'?" asked Inuyasha.
"Must mean the strongest fighter, that's the way it works in manga," said Kagome aloud, tactfully not mentioning that the title character often had more than their share of mental problems.
"Oh," said Inuyasha. "That makes sense."
"Why does HE get a wish?" complained Shippo, thinking of all the things he could wish for.
"Inuyasha, you shouldn't ask too hastily," said Miroku. "I think we should confer on this."
"Yes," said Sango, an edge of menace in her voice. She could think of some of the advice likely to come from Miroku. "Let's do that."
"Well, I meant just myself and Inuyasha, errr, to keep it as simple as possible," tried Miroku.
"Magical suffering?" asked Inuyasha. "Oh, like all the times Kagome is using that admonishment on me."
"I wouldn't do it if you didn't keep making me do it," countered Kagome, a little nervous now.
"I've got it," said Inuyasha.
