"WHAT?!" exclaimed Kagome, Shippo, Miroku, Sango. "Mrff?!" echoed Kirara.
"What?" asked Inuyasha. "You think I ain't noticed I have trouble with that sorta thing?"
"Well, duhhh," said Shippo.
"That WAS unusually insightful for you," mused Sango.
"Must be Kagome's influence," added Miroku.
"Inuyasha," said Kagome, patting Inuyasha on the head as if a doggie had just done something clever.
Inuyasha looked a little less than pleased at these responses.
"I can't do that," said Mihoshi. "The genie council tells me you have to be a little more clear on 'that kinda stuff'."
"Well that makes sense," said Miroku, nodding. "If he could communicate effectively, then things like that wouldn't require clarification."
"So it's no good?" asked Inuyasha.
"No, she's saying you need to define what 'that kinda stuff' means," explained Kagome. "You want to be able to explain things better, and what?"
"Oh," said Inuyasha, frowning in thought.
"I'm surprised he could figure out he needed help in that area," said Shippo.
"What? You think I'm stupid?" asked Inuyasha, ready to pop a little fox-demon in the head if he answered "yes" to that question. "Of course I noticed that people keep taking what I say wrong. How many times do I get that 'sit' stuff hitting me?"
"I haven't had to do that in days," complained Kagome.
"Oh yeah?" asked Inuyasha. "What about last night?"
"Oh yeah," said Kagome, remembering now.
"That was when it was raining and you had said something about wondering what Kikyo was doing," pointed out Miroku.
"At which point Kagome had said maybe you ought to go look for her," pointed out Shippo.
"Which was when you made that reply that got Kagome got angry about," said Sango. "Something about how maybe you should."
"Which was when Kagome had said you just ought to get out and look for her then," added Miroku.
"At which you pointed out that while Kikyo had risen from her grave, it was Kagome who scared you," added Shippo, who then began counting.
Kagome looked a little vexed and opened her mouth to say something.
Inuyasha flinched, because that had happened and she'd hit him with SIX "sit" commands.
"Actually, considering that Inuyasha was driven at that point into the ground so hard that our shelter collapsed," said a thoughtful Sango, "perhaps that comment wasn't that hard to understand."
"Well," said Inuyasha, hoping to finish before he was again crushed into the ground by a series of "sit" commands, "by 'that kinda stuff' I meant-"
