Zodiac Senshi: Emissary Ranma: Mutating Motoko Madness! [Episode 192750]

by Animethropologist

Within a strange and dark dimension located near the Earth, a strange entity observed goings-on on the planet…well, not below. Since the dimension was perpendicular to the conventional axes of space-time, the English language lacks a proper preposition to describe the dimension’s location in relation to Earth. One of the more vexing aspects of extra-universal invasion is trying to explain where the invaders are coming from. But that is neither here nor there.

Anyway, the entity looked on the blue-green world not-exactly-but-analogous-to-beneath him, and saw something that filled his form with dread. One of the Zodiac Amulets had been recovered and was rapidly approaching the current incarnation of its Senshi. “This can not be allowed to pass,” he said to himself. “I must find a way to stop this…” The scrying field before him blurred and refocused on the destined one herself, the activity of the Amulet making it easy to locate her. “Perhaps if I turned an ally of the Senshi before she awakens.” Near the girl was another, holding a sword and harboring such repressed fury, embarrassment, and shame, she glowed with an eldritch antilight in his window to the world. “Such negative energy, bound deep within her soul…perfect!” Cackling, the being dove through the gateway between dimensions. Just don’t ask me in what direction he dove.

Wrenching Krishna-chan 2.0 off of Motoko’s face had proven far more difficult than anyone had expected. Besides the sheer velocity with which the kiss-bot struck the swordswoman, there was also the suction drive and tongue simulator that had been part of the upgrade package. The end result was a minutes-long meeting of the mouths amidst Motoko’s manic motions, which in turn many times massacred one maybe-immortal male. Finally, after copious use of the original blueprints, a crowbar, and help from the audience, Motoko’s lips were liberated.

Standing shakily, Motoko glared darkly at the hugely amused Su. “Su, I respect your genius greatly,” began the abused, eerily calm, “and I treasure your friendship as I would a precious gem. But if you ever use one of those abominable kissing robots on me ever again, I shall personally ensure you will be unable to so much as look at a screwdriver without—”

Sadly, what Su would do upon seeing a screwdriver would never be known, for this was when a cloud of darkness suddenly emerged from seemingly nowhere. It dove for Motoko before she could even react, promptly entering the warrior’s body. Before long, she began to visibly glow with a dark aura, and started laughing maniacally.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” announced Keitaro, experienced with this sort of thing, “I’m afraid we have something of a demonic possession on our hands. Please flee in terror in a calm and orderly manner.”

“Whoa!” Ranma came to a stop on a rooftop, shocked by the sudden drastic jump in ki. “Whatever that is, it can’t be good.” He raced towards the Hinata Sou at doubletime, thinking ‘Good thing Akane ain’t here. She’d find some way to blame me for this.’
“Achoo!”

“You excused, Violent Girl.”

“OK,” Keitaro muttered. “Maybe this is worse than a standard demonic possession.” He was referring to the entity Motoko had mutated into. From the waist down she appeared to be some sort of hoofed beast with muscular limbs, covered in matte black scales. Points north of the waist weren’t much better. Musculature bulged everywhere one could look, yet not to the point of grotesqueness. Long arms ended in blade-tipped fingers that would do Freddy Krueger proud. Motoko’s bust had been enhanced with the rest of her body, her audibly straining chest bindings the only things preventing anyone from seeing precisely how much. The rest of her clothes had been shredded to ribbons during her sudden growth.

The head was perhaps the worst. Motoko’s face was largely unchanged, save for protruding fangs and eyes that held only rage. Her hair streamed to her hips in an ebon curtain, and two impressive curling horns sprouted from her forehead. In short, Motoko had transformed into a very angry eight-foot tall scaly satyr, only with rage to replace the libido.

Her eyes swiveled to behold those she had just moments before considered her greatest friends. Now, all she could think was ‘KILL! CRUSH! EVISCERATE!’ She surged forward, intent on doing just that.

“Moko Takabisha!”

The blast did little more than sizzle her hair, but it was enough to get her to turn around. “Run, you idiots!” cried Ranma, before jumping to avoid getting filleted.

Most were quick to comply, but Su stayed rooted on the spot, her face unreadable. “Motoko…”

Ranma landed roughly next to the genius, turning to her angrily and shouting, “Move, dammit! This thing is dangerous!”

Then, their eyes met. Time stopped. The Aquarius Amulet began to glow on the necklace. A matching glyph of three wavy lines shone on Su’s forehead. On Ranma’s, a different design appeared. It appeared to be four overlapping triangles, forming a twelve-pointed star. Within the dodecagon formed in the center of the figure was the familiar crescent emblem of the Moon Kingdom.

Outside time and material form, two souls began a conversation.

“So,” said the spirit who most recently identified itself as Kaolla Su, now recalling an existence millennia past. “The Amulet has at last returned to me, has it?”

“Indeed,” the other essence confirmed. “And as we both know, the Amulets are connected. If one comes to its owner, so shall the others.”

“Quite. And guess who gets to look after the Senshi as they become empowered?”

The soul of Ranma gave a metaphysical sigh. “That would explain the dodecagram.”

“Good luck, Zodiac Herald,” the spirit of Su said teasingly.

Time restarted. Unfortunately, so did Motoko. Grabbing the princess, Ranma dove away from the fivefold stab. The string to which the Amulet was attached, however, was severed. The mystical item flew into Su’s face. As she crossed her eyes to examine it, Ranma rose and reiterated, “Get outta here! I can’t fight this thing if I gotta look out for someone else!”

Su did not reply. Instead, responding to an inner voice, she grasped the object resting on her nose and intoned “Aquarius Zodiac Power, MAKE UP!” One flashy transformation sequence later, Sailor Aquarius calmly strode to Ranma’s side. “I assure you,” said the Senshi of Technology, “you have no need to concern yourself with my safety.”
