With that in mind, she felt perfectly safe as she planted on high heel clad foot onto the ledge and looked over the edge. Stories below her was an interweaving web of people, each going about their business without even a clue that there was a woman in a well tailored suit looking over them. Not that she had any reason to stop them, as they had their lives to live, and she didn't need to keep track of people going on dates, or individuals heading off for shopping.
Her eyes were tracking one group in particular, and she watched them leave a restaurant, obviously heading off to continue a pleasant evening. It wasn't all that hard to follow them, as they weren't trying to avoid anything. They were quite comfortable with their situation, and were enjoying themselves.
That didn't stop her from watching Haruka's blonde head as she moved through the crowds. Spotting the tall and stylish young woman was easy, even if she just went by the movement of the people around them. Couples like the racer and her martial artist husband were quite striking, and the Tendo sisters were not slouches in the looks department by any means.
Yet, it wasn't her place to judge whether they were appealing together, at least, not now. Part of the reason that Haruka and Ranma were together was her fault, and she was perfectly aware of that. Denying the truth had never appealed to her, and the green haired woman understood much of the dangers that such a delusion could lead to.
Besides, she hadn't exactly been aiming for the opposite effect on the couple. There were always reasons behind her actions, and 'methods to her madness', and there had been a purpose in helping Nodoka Saotome track down her son. Merely helping a friend wasn't exactly the cause for her actions, but it was a nice bonus. Rather, she needed Ranma Saotome positioned into a certain place, and this was the way to do it.
He had a role to play in things, and Setsuna had only given him the proper placement. The rest he had done on his own, and the effects of what he would do would certainly have repercussions. At the very least, it looked like Haruka's line would continue, but there were also other concerns at play. And what this pigtailed boy was doing was likely to set things in motion for the future.
A small smile curved the tall woman's full lips as she considered what she was doing with these teenagers. They had no idea of the roles that they were playing, and didn't know that the future was going to depend on what they did. Of course, once they found out, it would be likely to blow their minds.
Still, it wasn't like she had travelled into the past to manipulate the timeline, as this was what had to happen.
It just made it all the sweeter to know that things were going the way that she wanted. She knew that they wouldn't always like what fate had in store for them, but then, they didn't know what could be in store for the planet if what she'd planned failed. Events would take their course, and all too soon, they'd be looking into the fruits of the future that would come of the groundwork laid when she helped get Ranma back to his mother.
Laughing quietly, she slipped away from the edge of the roof, and quietly disappeared, knowing that having Ranma be able to go back to school would have some interesting consequences.
The distraction that the feeling that he was being watched passed over Ranma quickly enough, and he quickly turned his attention back back to his wife and their friends. "Ya know, now that we've eaten, we really should think about findin' somethin' else ta do."
"Oh dear," Kasumi murmured. "Should we be staying out for a long time?"
"Why not? D'ya really wanna go back ta havin' the old men try ta push us inta what they want?"
"No, not really...."
"Well, there you go," the pigtailed boy stated with a firm nod.
"Let's just keep on going on," Akane suggested.
Nabiki grinned at her younger sister. "You want to blindly stumble on? Fine by me. Go and do that."
"Then what do you suggest we do?"
"We might actually make a plan so that we can know which way we want to go at what time."
"It might be best to try and see what's available," Haruka put in. "Would give us a clue as to what we can do."
"Karaoke might be fun. And I think there's a nice game center around here...."
The youngest Tendo pursed her lips. "There are a couple of good movies out."
"We could go and watch the ships at the pier," Kasumi mentioned thoughtfully. "And there are a lot of concerts going on. They have some very talented young performers."
Haruka grinned mischievously. "I hear that there is a Takarazuka Revue show coming up."
"We could always go bowling," Ranma said flatly.
His wife's expression grew even more amused.
"It's nice, noisy, and doesn't have a lot of flash...."
This time, the blonde just snickered.
"Why me?"
"Because it's fun?" Nabiki told him, and grinned herself, while:
