"Suzumiya Haruhi, I presume?"
The beautiful teenage girl with the shoulder-length black hair (partially held down by a golden bandanna) and the lovely golden-brown eyes blinked on hearing that voice call out to her from behind, and then she turned to stare at whoever had spoken out to her. "Yes…?" she began before stopping, her jaw dropping in shock. "No way…"
"Pardon me for interrupting your contemplation this evening," the silver-haired man in the off-white clothes — complete with light grey cape that was draped over his shoulders, Haruhi was quick to note — and the deep, strange eyes said as he seemed to give her a pleasant, friendly smile. "I am here, Haruhi, to…"
"Are you an alien?!"
Destructo didn't visibly react as he noted that Haruhi had nearly teleported herself from the window of the room at Kita High School that served as the headquarters and meeting place of her Sekai o Ôi ni Moriageru Tame no Suzumiya Haruhi no Dan school club. "No, I was born in the town of Oświęcim in Poland in 1932." Sensing a flash of disappointment in the heart of the young woman before him, he then added, "But I have been heavily influenced by aliens, as you'll no doubt notice my eyes."
Haruhi's eyes narrowed on hearing that, and then she peered into his dimly glowing eyes for a moment before she leaned back. "What aliens?"
The visitor smiled. "My dear, allow me to show you…"
And in the blink of an eye, both were gone from Kita High School…
Elsewhere in the city…
"Data output from Haruhi-san has increased…"
Hearing that declaration from their host, the other members of the SOS Brigade turned as one to gaze on Nagato Yuki. "What is happening, Yuki-san?" Koizumi Itsuki asked.
"An outside element has entered the equation," Nagato Yuki warned, her golden brown eyes flashing ominously as streams of information poured through her mind from elsewhere. "This element has removed Haruhi-san from Earth. I cannot attempt to triangulate what her current location is at this time. I will have to synchronize myself with the Data Integration Thought Entity to scan all known locations to ascertain where Haruhi-san might be. This will take some time."
And with that, she faded from view. Watching this, Kyon blinked as he looked out the window. "Haruhi…"
Itsuki and Asahina Mikuru exchanged looks…
Elsewhere…
"I'm on another planet?"
"Indeed you are, Haruhi. The planet Yiziba, to be exact."
Taking that in, Haruhi blinked before she took several steps away from Destructo as she peered all around her in an attempt to better take in her surroundings.
It only took one look to convince the leader of the SOS Brigade that her mysterious companion was telling the truth: she WAS on another planet. The plant and animal life — what she could see of it, of course — was, though similar in some respects to what was normal for Earth, clearly not of Earth. Atop that, the city in the near-distance to her left was far too futuristically-designed to have arisen from the imaginations of any Terran architect, even those firmly entrenched in post-modernist training. A glance skyward was the clincher, though: Earth only had one moon and a sun that was bright yellow in shade. This place had two visible moons — both about the same shape and general form as Luna — and a sun that had a more orange-red tint than the bright gold of Sol. By the position of that star in the sky, Haruhi believed it was mid-afternoon here.
"I'm on another planet…" she whispered.
Destructo smiled. "Indeed you are, Haruhi," he repeated himself.
Haruhi blinked as she took that in, and then she…
