Go back and time and make them all Ranma's...err...she meant Usagi's harem. Why had they stuck with the remote anyway? Oh yes, sort of a distress call device if Ranma ever really needed something badly from one of us. Otherwise, they operated on their own initiative as to what they felt was best for him.
That and they wanted to keep the remote out of Kujaku and VonEcchi's hands.
Still why hadn't this occured to her before. And now her protections were almost warn out, would she have time to make her case? She had to try, being in the past would slow it down further, anyway.

"I don't really like this either, Ranma," Usagi was saying. "But there's only one remote, and I'd much rather my friends had a...master that was kind..."
"Split them up," a new voice said. Ranma and Usagi whirled to see Setsuna, and then looked to see Setsuna unconscious and in the middle of transformation.
"What in the..." Ranma started.
"Look," Setsuna said. "I have very little time, so I'll make it plain. They, we, can operate on their own, you only need the remote if you want them to act differently from the way they normally act. Our souls, minds, everything is the same. Split them up, don't...don't all program them to look to Ranma."
Setsuna grimaced as she felt the protections failing. And without those she'd be drawn away, so as not to ruin the future where she was loyal to Ranma.
"Princess, let us serve you," Setsuna said finally. "But...have...them...work....together...cleanse, the...pro...gram..."
And then Setsuna felt herself leaving the past and appearing in the present.
A pleasant feeling washed over her as she turned to see her...
