Ranma's Robogirls: Setsuna's plan [Episode 19515]

Sailor Pluto shuddered at what the Senshi had become. Or at least some of the Senshi.

Observation had revealed that they still knew all that they had known. That their personalities, drives, likes, and dislikes, were all mainly the same. Observing Ami had been especially illuminating. Apparently their original data still existed.

The techno-virus had infiltrated their beings and rewrote their bodies entirely. The weakest one of them could lift four times her body weight easily. The strongest could lift hundreds of tons - if the structural integrity of the object could handle the pressure. Eyes that could see into the infrared and ultraviolet, hearing that included perfect pitch and extended far beyond human capabilities. Even the non-Senshi could expect a lifespan of over a millenia - without disease or apparent aging. Tougher than human, less prone to tiring, able to rest and recover with less time, able to get by with eating only on occasion - otherwise their internal reactors could run on water.

Their "star seed" was caught within a network of devices and they were resistant to the normal sorts of attacks that a Dark Kingdom might utilize against them. With Ami, Nabiki, and others involved, they were a life form that could quickly evolve to defeat almost any enemy.

They looked more and more like they had prior to the transformation, except for the idealized feminine appearance. Eventually the former males would regain their gender.

All of which sounded good. Given time to overcome the initial limits of the process and refine it, the majority of humans could be added - by their own choice. Why not? You were happier, smarter, stronger, could look however you chose, and there was no reason to force anyone into this. The meek could inherit the Earth while these new technohumes could reach the stars. What had started out as a way to make slaves would eventually become mankind's apotheosis into a new evolutionary state.

There was always a price tag. In this case, there were several.

• There was the group mind thing. Everyone still had their personalities, but sharing data in the most efficient way possible tended to bare one's soul. Secrets were hard to keep, and only possible because the vast majority of technorganics developed a respect for others as they acclimated to their new forms.
• The programming. Even if you could get past the direct personality-alterating parts, there were still alterations made indirectly. Sort of like having a compulsive happy-nice curse. They tended to be thoughtful and more calm, though that might be the more efficient neural network and longer lifespan having an effect.
• The new diet. People could eat darn near anything. Other than water, they only needed occasional replacement materials. So they'd eat metals and other materials that would have been outright poisonous prior to conversion. The problem was that eating quickly was relegated to "unnecessary activity" for most of the species.
• The new species. There were people who would have been happier as another gender. Some would have been happier as another species. In time the technorganic body would adapt to the individual's imagery.
• New pleasures. The new bodies, as they'd started out as sexslaves, were very very sensitive. This could lead to addiction.
• New enemies. From the time of the infection until it was widespread, Kujaku Tsuretsu and Doctor VonEcchi were constantly trying to get the upper hand on the Senshidroids and return them to their original purpose. Whereas in the original timeline Kujaku had remained a minor and foppish Yakuza lord, while Doctor VonEcchi had never met anyone who could fund his experiments. Neither became more than minor nuisances.

In the short term, there was also the problem that the units were unswervingly devoted to Ranma Saotome. Though the actual priorities varied, serving Ranma and keeping him safe were still among the top five. The current units saw no reason to change that.

If she didn't get the remote soon, she'd have to just try anyway. Her protections were almost eroded to nothing.

After careful consideration, Sailor Pluto decided that if she had the remote, she would:

• go back in time with the remote and alter their programming so that they were Usagi's harem. They would have ended up there anyway.
• use the remote's connection to guide her snipping in time, to find the lamp before Ranma does.
• rebuild the remote to scramble the Tendo girl's minds, thereby convincing Kujaku and VonEcchi that their experiment was a failure.
• use the remote's connection to guide her back to the lamp, where she can become Ranma's girlfriend and not have the current problems. (Her defenses are beginning to fail.)
• one of the above but the paradox storm completely rewrites the timeline in a manner she didn't foresee.
• some other plan
