The Kyuubi tore through the squads of ninjas as it tried to get to Konoha. It could smell the nephilim that was being harbored in Konoha and would stop at nothing to get at it. These lands had belonged to the demons of Lilith since the dawn of time and there was no way that the Kyuubi would EVER allow one of Adam's angels or a spawn of one live in the land.
Suddenly, the Kyuubi detected from the scent that the nephilim was giving birth. This fact sent it into a further rage as it roared out, "I'LL DESTROY YOU SPAWN OF ADAM! YOU AND YOUR CHILD WILL DIE!"
Minato's rapid approach with Naruto only sent the Kyuubi into an even higher level of bloodlust and rage than anyone could imagine. The Kyuubi's conscious mind was forced to the side as it focused on only one thing: destruction. The increased rage of the Kyuubi caused the remaining ninjas to flee from the battlefield.
The battlefield was almost deserted when Minato finally arrived at the battlefield on Gamabunta. Minato's heart actually stopped in terror when he saw the Kyuubi frothing in rage like a rabid animal. However, his sense of duty quickly returned and he summoned the Shinigami. Once the Kyuubi was sealed, Minato whispered with his last breath, “I love you Rei and Naruto.”
