In Konoha's council chamber a viscious debate was going on over the fate of Naruto Namikaze. Of course, none of the council members actually knew that they were debating the fate of their beloved Hokage's son. All they knew was that the Kyuubi had been sealed into a newborn by the Yondaime and that meant that the Kyuubi was still free. Logical, not really, but who needed logic in politics?
This heavy debate came to an abrupt halt when the dead bolted steel doors to the council room were suddenly blown off there hinges. Everyone turned to look at the door and became really nervous when they saw Rei Namikaze standing calmly in the doorway. Rei was a very quiet woman who everyone usually considered to be a friendly, if slightly distant, person. However, no one wanted to get in her way if she was pissed. That Super solinoid or S2 bloodline of hers was truly something else.
Rei looked at the council and said with nearly emotionless venom, "It has come to my attention that you all are on the verge of treason. My husband left specific instructions that the child that he sealed the Kyuubi into was not to be harmed. And yet, here you all are debating whether or not you should kill the child."
One of the more idiotic council members shouted out, "What do you care? That monster killed your husband. We should kill the demon before it-" The other members of the council watched in terror as their fellow council member was cut off in mid sentence by Rei, who sent a narrow beam of white light at the man. As soon as the light hit the man, he turned into a pile of liquid goop.
Rei then turned to face the council and said, "That 'demon' as you so erroneously put it, is Minato's and my son. You will show him the proper respect that he deserves as the son of the Yondaime and the only person standing between the village and its destruction by the Kyuubi. I just came from talking with the Sandaime who has stated that no one except for the Hokage, myself, or Naruto is allowed to reveal any information about the sealing of the Kyuubi. Failure to do so will result in a death sentence. If any of you attempt to kill Naruto, or hire someone to kill Naruto, one of your children or grandchildren will be killed as punishment."
Little did any of the council members know, Rei or Naruto could have any child who would have been killed by this law spared. It was merely a scare tactic that Sarutobi and Rei had come up with to keep anyone from attacking Naruto. The tactic seemed to work considering all the pale faces of the council members.
