Peroth’s son the Earth Prince: Musings of a mother to be [Episode 196483]

by Historian

Peorth, Goddess First class second category unlimited, was sitting at a terminal of Yggdrasil the world computer deep in thought. Earlier that day she had gotten a head’s up from the Almighty that the souls in Queen Serenity’s spell were scheduled to soon be born. While the gods and goddesses representing the other worlds in the Solar system besides Nemesis were ecstatic by this news Peorth was upset.

Peorth knew what was going through the minds of most of those Gods and Goddesses. A good deal of them were hoping to land the vacant number 2 position in heaven’s hierarchy do to a princess of their world marrying the Earth Prince and have her line overpower his. When the Silver Millennium was being formed the Almighty decreed that each world would have at least one patron god or goddess. As part of their duties as patron god/goddess, they would have to grant to the royal family of the planet a gift of power to help protect that world.

At the time Earth had several ruling families so several Earth deities were appointed to watch over Earth and grant power to the various royal households. Peorth, who at the time was only a Third class second category unlimited, favored a minor family that eventually grew to control the Earth with Endymion as heir. Sadly the other royal lines of the Earth had by that point died out leaving Earth with the weakest royal senshi in the entire system.

When Peorth thought back to those days and the end of the Silver Millennium her heart burned with rage. In her mind her fellow ‘Patron Deities’ were a joke. Their worlds had died off completely and they NEVER LIFTED A FINGER TO HELP!!! They were all to busy getting dead drunk at a rave that Jupiter was holding at the time while she worked herself to the bone trying to keep Earth habitable. Only Belldandy and Skull held her grudging respect for those days. While they didn’t save their patron world of Pluto’s people, they were busy trying to keep the time-stream together due to how much destruction was going on.

Peorth was quickly looking over her options on what to do with the situation. If the powers she granted to the royal Earth line were to be supplanted completely, then she would have to give up being the patron deity of Earth to one of the afore mentioned buffoons. However, she couldn’t just grant more power to Endymion’s reincarnation as that would alert said buffoons to her plans. Besides, the Almighty had forbidden them from granting more power to their patron planet’s royalty.

It was then that an idea came to Peorth. Sure the idea was probably half-baked and made Urd’s attempts at helping romantic along seem like a brilliant full-proof plan in comparison. But, it was a plan that would assure that the Earth would be properly protected and almost all the other deities would never expect it till it was too late to stop it. Instead of having Endymion be reborn to ordinary people of Earth, She would be his mother. The plan required her to take a mortal lover for the father, as souls needed to be reincarnated with at least about a 50% match to their last incarnation’s race.

Peorth then began to furiously type at her terminal keyboard to create the search program for her new son’s father. The man had to be of reasonable moral character, he had to be someone she could get along with at least in a conversation for the child’s sake, he had to be able to handle strange occurrences, and finally he should be a decent fighter to help her train their son. After plugging in the guidelines in the search program, Peorth sat back to wait for the results. Ten minutes latter, her terminal blinked showing that the results were found. Looking through the list she decided on:
