Ranma watched as his new slave was brought down from the auction block and led to him by the auctioneer's assistant. A many of the guys in the auctioning section sent Ranma glares of jealousy over his newly acquired exotic slave girl. After all, one didn't usually find Phoenix Tribe women on the slave markets and then almost never outside of China.
The assistant lead the slave towards Ranma and then gruffly said, "Here's your slave Ranma Saotome. Would you please come with me so that we can sync her brand to you?" A slave's brand was a mystical seal that allowed a master to know where his or her slaves were. The brands also allowed a master to punish a disobedient slave without resorting to such crude methods like were used in the past.
Ranma nodded his head and then asked, "Does she have a name?" The auctioneer had stated that she was 19 years old, that she was trained in Phoenix style swordsmanship, her training also included a variety of domestic skills, and finally that she was a full use lifetime slave. However, he didn't give her name and that wasn't a big surprise to Ranma.
The assistant pulled out a clipboard and said, "Let's see where is she. Ah! Here she is. You slave's pre-enslavement name was Kiima. Do you want to give her a new name?"
Ranma turned to look at his new slave and quickly said, "No. Kiima is good. Let's go and finish the sync."
The assistant nodded his head and quickly lead the duo to the sync room. This circular room was mostly empty except for a large seal pattern in the center and two stands on opposite sides of the seal from each other. Kiima was promptly stripped of her auction clothes and ordered into the center of the seal. Ranma did his best to hide his embarrassment at seeing his slave in the buff, but a small blush nevertheless appeared on his cheeks.
The seal array light up as soon as Kiima stepped onto it. Shortly afterward a series of purple lines appeared on Kiima's arms representing her brand of slavery. Ranma and the assistant then moved to the pillars and each placed a hand on their respective pillar. There was a flash of light as the transfer took place. A small seal appeared on Ranma's hand signifying his new status as a slave owner while Kiima's brand changed design to show that she was now Ranma's slave. Both the ownership seal and the slave brand then faded from view.
