Still Akane was not one to fail and take advantage of the situation, and brought the pole into position carefully to avoid having the nylon rope at the end come near the fire. Still she needed a distraction to divert the lune’s attention so that she could snare it, and of course there was still a matter of the mysterious crimson beast behind her which for some odd reason still hadn’t chosen to take advantage of the situation and attack Akane’s currently unguarded back..
Taking a quick glance over her shoulder she saw that the unknown lune had vanished, for good or ill this meant that Akane could turn all her attention toward the known aggressor to her front rather than the potential unknown who might have just run off.
Still the beast was on guard for any sudden movements from Soun’s youngest daughter, and every time she thought that she could snare the beast it back-pedaled. This annoying game of cat and mouse looked like it would go on for a while, until the brute suddenly leapt slightly forward with a yelp and right into Akane’s waiting snare. Not one to look a gift horse in the mouth, Akane quickly tightened the rope with a twist of her wrist catching the lune at the end of her pole.
Careful to get a good grip on the capture pole with her right-arm, Akane tapped her head set to radio in, “This is Tendo, one lune captured and one weird story to share... over.”
*This is Asagiri Tendo, we got one too, but we’re going to be a little late bringing this one in... over.*
Concerned about her fellow catchers, Akane inquired further, “Do you require assistance, I can be there as soon as I lock this bruiser up...over.”
*Negative Tendo, but you might want to have some Calomine and the med-kit handy. The stupid SOB got itself tangled up in a bush of poison oak, Kuno’s trying to guide it out, but she might get some on her before she’s done... over.*
Akane pondered this for a minute while she was guiding her prisoner back towards the van, “Don’t lunes usually avoid that stuff, how the hell did one wind up right in the middle of a whole bush of it...over.”
*I don’t know it's the damdest thing, one minute the brute's charging us for all that he's worth, and the next he's in a bush full of poison oak that I could’ve sworn wasn’t there earlier... over.*
“Understood, I’ll have the lotion ready for you and her royal highness, after I cage Cujo here... over and out.”
Knowing better than to try and get a hold of Akira when he was trying to deal with his quarry, Akane lead her prisoner back to the van.
