Naruto was currently in a clearing in the forest of Konoha and he was reading the Scroll of Sealing. Naruto had been told by Mizuki, after he had failed to become a genin for the third time, that if he could take this scroll and learn one technique then Naruto would become a genin. Naruto had just finished learning the Shadow Clone technique and had decided that there was nothing wrong with him learning a few more techniques from the scroll. After all, it wouldn't hurt at all for the future Hokage to have a many powerful attacks as he could.
Suddenly Iruka popped into the clearing and yelled at Naruto, "Naruto, what do you think your doing!" At this Naruto got up off the ground and said, "What do you mean 'what do your doing'? I'm doing that test that sensei Mizuki mention. You know, the one that would allow a person who didn't pass the first test to show that they have what it takes to be a ninja. I was only able to learn one attack before you found me but Mizuki told me that one jutsu was enough to graduate."
Iruka, on seeing the honesty shining in Naruto's eyes and hearing the boy's explanation, knew that something foul was going on with Naruto unknowingly trapped in the middle of it all. Iruka then looked Naruto strait in the eyes and said, "Look Naruto. Something very wrong is going on and it seems that you've been caught in the middle of it all. The test that Mizuki told you about doesn't exist as far as I know of. Currently most of the ninja are scouting for you and are under the impression that you stole this scroll. Stick with me and we'll straiten this out with the Hokage."
Naruto was starting to feel sorry for himself because it looked like he wasn't going to graduate after all. However before Naruto could show his disappointment, Iruka yelled at him to duck. Although he was confused and depressed, Naruto automatically obeyed Iruka's command. An oversize shuriken went sailing through where Naruto's head had been only moments before.
Looking at where the Shuriken had been thrown from, Naruto was shocked to see a grinning Mizuki. "Well, well, well, looks like I missed the demon brat" Mizuki said with ice in his voice. Mizuki then turned to Iruka and said, "So sorry to get you tangled up in this mess Iruka. I was just going to get the demon brat to get the scroll for me and then kill him. However it looks like I'll have to kill you too, can't have any witnesses you see."
On hearing the cold and callous way that Mizuki talked about killing him and Iruka, something within Naruto snapped. Naruto started to emit an aura of black energy. Mizuki took a steep back from where he was as he saw Naruto's now black eyes glare at him. In a slightly deeper voice than Naruto usually spoke in, Naruto yelled out in ancient Egyptian, "treacherous dog! Ammit shall feast on your black heart after Anubis weighs your heart. REBIRTH OF THE SHADOWS!"
