The fact that she was also a shapely young woman would certainly help in that regard. Despite her own cynicism, she was reasonably sure that she could use her physical charms to appeal to his libido. And if fighting him was to come up, then she wasn't worried in that regard either.
However, her problem was that she didn't know what sort path she should take regarding him. After all, she didn't even know that much about him, as all anyone had told her had come in general terms. That was enough to let her know what her mission was about, but without exact facts about the person himself, she wouldn't know how to approach him. And her problem didn't come from any underconfidence in herself as a woman.
She just didn't know who he was, and a simple slip up could make it much harder to drag him off to her village. If he was some sort of pompous ass, then the best thing might have been to whack him on the head and drag him off to her village to drop him off. On the other hand, that could cause problems with someone who was friendly, or a boy who was combative.
No, she'd need some sort of plan before she'd go into action, and for a plan, one needed information. Attacking him might let her know about his fighting abilities, but it could alienate him. Trying to tie him to her, relationship wise, might not be a good first move, especially if he began to believe that, and was the worst sort of 'boyfriend'. Other plans just wouldn't work, as it was all to easy to mess up without knowing just why she had done so.
Her best option would be to observe him before approaching him. Doing so would mean that she'd have to stalk him, but that concept didn't bother her too much. If he caught her, she could play an appropriate 'part', but she doubted that he'd detect her. As such, it would be much easier to get information, especially as the elders of the village that she was in made it rather clear that they weren't about to just hand over the data on him.
No, it was simpler and more effective to just watch him, and figure out what he was like. For all that she knew, he could be like a lot of boys his age that she'd met, who tended to be more interested in getting into her panties, many of whom thought that since she was a kunoichi, she was up for sale. Those idiots were easy to deal with, but she wasn't about to run the risk of driving him away. Whether it would be tempting him, inviting him over for a visit, or simply dragging him off, she wasn't about to act before she knew that it'd work.
Should she manage that, she'd not only have the glory of her success, such as it was, but she'd have forced some respect out of those judgemental jackasses. Their opinions didn't matter much to her, but she knew that creating a real place for herself in the village was not something that she'd give up. For that opportunity, she was going to keep an eye on this 'Ranma Saotome' character before she made her move.
By what she could see, it was an intelligent plan, and would be simple enough to make happen, while:
