Standing there was a young girl, who looked to be a little younger than he was. Her pale blue hair was cut in a simple way that seemed to fit her. The simple school uniform was basic enough, and allowed enough of her curves to show so that it was clear that she was attractive. But it was that eerie way that her red eyes gazed right at them, almost as if they were not allowing any thought to show. Rather, they were as still as the world around her, with not even the wind moving any more. It was as if the world had just paused itself, almost like time itself could not go on any more.
"Ummm.... I think that I'm with ya on this one," Ranma muttered, laughing nervously as he recalled where he'd seen her before.
Evangeline raised a brow without even glancing at him. "Oh, so easily boy. What, no desire to whine and complain?"
"Not really. Ya seem ta have noticed that we're in trouble now."
"Of course. With my senses, feeling the level of energy coming from that... being could only mean trouble."
"It might be more than ya know."
"How so?"
"Simple. I watched a video that someone shot when everythin' went 'splat'," he admitted in a shaky voice. "She was there, and doin' it ta everyone."
"That was the scary girl that I saw before...." Sayo put in, doing her best to hide behind Ranma.
"Figured as much. Don't know if she's anythin' else, but the way that I see it, she's the 'Angel of Death'."
"For someone as uneducated as you, that's a pretty fair conclusion, boy," the blonde allowed.
The ghost girl gave off a little whimper. "Then what do we do?"
Without seeming to take a step, the blue haired 'Angel' was no longer in the distance, but was only a couple of blocks away, close enough to start walking towards them.
"We use the Saotome Secret Technique," Ranma revealed... and then started charging in the direction opposite of the approaching blue haired girl, with Sayo basically hanging onto him as he raced off. "Run away!"
"Hey! This is your big plan?! Running away?!" Evangline barked as she and Chachamaru ran after and caught up to him.
"You're doing it too!"
"Well...."
"We ain't 'xpendable, we ain't stupid, and we ain't fightin' somethin' that can make people go 'splut'. Ain't I right?"
"I suppose that's true enough."
"'Sides, this'll at least buy us some time ta come up with somethin' better. That's the idea, ya know."
"That is understandable," Chachamaru admitted.
"True," Evangeline allowed, though she did snort and cross her arms over her chest.
"We're going to have a plan?" Sayo asked as she shrank into Ranma's body.
"I sure as hell hope so," the pigtailed boy replied, while:
