Queen Serenity’s spirit had been stuck among the ruins of the Silver Millennium ever since she cast the spell to send everyone forward. It was a hidden cost associated with manipulating karma. Thankfully, she could go to sleep for long periods of time to avoid going mad from the isolation and the desolation of the ruins. The queen had set up her periods of hibernation so that she was woken up every thousand years, or whenever someone came close to the ruins.
Thus, Queen Serenity’s spirit was woken up by Usagi’s and Ranma’s arrival. It would be impossible for Queen Serenity to sleep through the couple’s arrival since Usagi’s lack of control had created the magical equivalent to a sonic boom. The spectral figure of the queen quickly stretched her arms and headed out to see who had woken her up. Queen Serenity didn’t know what exactly she was expecting to find. However, she definitely didn’t expect to find her daughter’s reincarnation half naked and with bat-like wings sprouting from her hips.
Ranma and Usagi were alerted to Queen Serenity’s presence when the queen’s spirit shouted out, “Serenity! What on Luna are you thinking going out in public like that?! Have you no shame daughter?”
Usagi quickly turned to face the spectral figure of her previous mother and thought about what her mother was saying. If this was still Usagi the human, than the queen’s admonishments would have been successful. However, this was Usagi the Darkstalker and really couldn’t care less about Queen Serenity had to say. In a slightly bored tone, the Darkstalker princess replied, “Oh please, my mate Ranma and I are the only living beings on this lump of rock. Besides, since when do succubae have shame?”
As soon as Usagi said that, Queen Serenity looked a little closer at Usagi’s aura. Instead of seeing the human aura that she was expecting, the queen was confronted by her daughter’s powerful Darkstalker aura. The realization that her daughter had been reborn as part succubae was just too much for the old queen and she collapsed on the ground.
Ranma then turned to face Usagi and he said, “That was a little much don’t you think Usagi? After all, we are very different than what she was expecting to find.”
Usagi gave a small chuckle and replied, “I suppose your right Ranma. However, it was fun to see her expression after all the times that she scolded me for not acting like the perfect princess.”
