The Eye [Episode 20]

Ranma blinked, there was a woman standing...err...floating behind Kasumi. The sad looking woman had her arms laid carefully on Kasumi's shoulders, as if bracing her and supporting her, occasionally glancing at one of the other two Tendo girls in concern. She was very familiar, then Ranma recognized her and gasped.
It was Mrs. Tendo. But she was dead, and that meant...
The woman's concern filled eyes began to shift toward him ever so slowly...
Immediately he blinked and reached up to rub his eyes out. When he opened them again, the ghost was gone from his sight.
He breathed a sigh of relief.
"Are you alright, Ranma?" Akane asked.
"I don't know, maybe somebody slipped somethin in my food," Ranma said. "I'm seeing weird stuff."

Indeed, Kodachi, Shampoo, Mousse, and Gosunkugi had all independently placed something in a bowl of curry Akane had cooked, that had been, by some fluke, excellent enough to be mistaken for Kasumi's cooking, but still had unknown side effects to it.

Ranma is intermittantly seeing ghosts, none make any noise. The next one he sees is Kodachi's dead mother tearing at the gymnast's back in an enraged fashion.

The next ghost he sees is a lost looking soul hanging about Ryouga. The soul is trying to find it's way to the next life, but can't find that on Earth.

A wererat ghost asks Ranma to save her people from the tyrant ruling them. Lord Gothwrain. She won't stop bugging him until he does.

The ghost isn't really Mrs. Tendo and isn't really beneficial, but rather a demon that causes Kasumi
