Ranma decided to look over the he had already taken out. There were at least a couple dozen, lying in a large pile by the treasure chest, plus plenty more still inside.
Looking over the pile, Ranma picked one up.
It was a western-style sword, roughly 3' in length, and it looked to be made of some sort of silver crystal. A glowing blue gem was mounted in the hilt. It seemed to radiate a sense of peace and benevolence. Reading the tag, Ranma discovered that it was called Soul Calibur, and that it could shift into a weapon that would match his style.
Placing it to the side, he picked up another sword.
Unlike the last, this one looked far more menacing. It was longer, at least 4 1/2', and had a fanged skull with four bone-like protrusions serving as the cross-guard. The blade was long and wavy, almost like a flame. Despite it's demonic appearance however, the blade seemed to resonate a holy aura, as if it were a weapon of divine power. The tag identified it as the Soul Reaver, and that it consumed the souls of those it killed.
With some respect, and, though he would never admit it, trepidation, Ranma laid it to the side.
The next weapon was a short stick, roughly 2' in length. Apart from it's red color, it was entirely featureless. According to the tag, it was called the Nyoi-Bo, and it could extend to phenomenal lengths.
Placing it with the other two, Ranma pulled out another weapon.
This one was large hammer, 3' in length, with a blocky metal head, and a leather wrapped handle. On the head, the following words were inscribed:
He who wields this weapon, should he be worthy, shall gain the power of Thor!
After reading it, Ranma looked at the tag. It said that this was Mjolnir, the hammer of Thor, Norse god of thunder.
Gaping at the divine weapon in his hands, Ranma placed it with the others, and wondered which one he should experiment with.
