"At least Gourry's okay," Lina whispered to herself. "Now where are we?"
Lina stood up and spotted a trail just outside of the forest they were in. She shook Gourry awake and hunted for a refrence point.
"Lina?" Gourry mumbled. "You're awake. You didn't let that Golden Lord person take you into that Chaos."
Lina paused as she heard that. 'Golden Lord? The Lord of Nightmares? I remember casting the Giga-Slave, but after losing control.....'
"Gourry. Tell me what you recall about that last fight."
Gourry shrugged, as he picked up his sword. "After you killed Phibrizo, Xellos said that you weren't Lina, but some Golden Lord. You then started saying weird things like that you sacrficed all that you were and that you were consumed by the Sea of Chaos. I recall chasing after you, but my mind went blank after I went into that big black thing."
"Uh. Right," Lina muttered. 'Okay. I really dont want to think about this.'
"By the way Lina, where are we?"
Lina shook her head and headed for the road. "I don't know Gourry."
The two of them proceeded down the road when they saw a caravn of wagosn being guarded by winged lizard men and led by some strange frog like being. The wagons were all cages and in all of them were humans. The lead wagon had a group of impressive looking people. The two that caught Lina's attention were the two in robes. One was an old man who wore green robes, the other was a young man with golden skin and wore red robes. The old man in green looked up and straight at Lina. He shuddered a bit as he tried to hid a flash of recognition. The man in red caught the shudder anf the glance and also looked ahead.
As Lina and Gourry stood there, the frog like creature yelled, "You are under arrest by the forces of the High Lod Verminarrd."
Lina glared at the frog man. "For what?"
"For not serving our Dark Queen Tarkhiss."
Lina cracked her knuckled and looked at her companion. "Gourry, let's teach this idiot some manners. By the way, who are you?"
"My name is Toede and do you really think that you can stand against this many Draconians? Just who do you think you are?"
"I am Lina Inverse.'
"And I'm her guardina: Gourry Gabriev."
Lina jumped forward and punched Toede off his horse and into a tree. The Draconians took that as a signal to attack the two humans. Gourry slammed his sword into one of the common ones and was a bit stymied when the creature turned to stone.
"Gourry! Behind you!" Lina yelled.
Gourry lifted the sword and statue and swung it behind him. It struck a diffrent looking Draconian who melted into a puddle of goo that poisonous vapors started wafting from. Gourry jumped back and pressed the release switch on his sword. The blade dropped along with the statue that held it.
"Be careful, Lina. These creatures do bizzare things when they die."
"Gotcha," Lina called out and pointed her hands at a group of three Draconians. "BLAST ASH!"
The wave of black energy struck the three Draconians and vaproized them instantly. Murmurs of shock came from the various wagons from that stunt. The red robed mage watched Lina more intently. Gourry looked at a group of Draconians that were coming up upon him grinning wickedly.
Holding the hilt before him, Gourry stated, "I get it. You think I'm unarmed. Light come forth!"
The blade of magical energy appeared and caused the Draconians to take a step back. Gourry wasted no time in slicing and dicing the various Draconians. This time the turning into stone couldn't stop the Sword of Light. After a quick battle which ahd all the Draconians dead by Lina's spells or Gourry's sword, Lina looked at the cages. Toede recovered from being knocked into a tree and ran very fast to get away from those two
"Let's get them out of there. I need to know how far we are from Sairagg."
Gourry quickly cut apart all the cages and went back to stand beside Lina. The prisoners kept taking fearful glances at the two of them, as they left their cages. Lina noticed a small argument break out among the group in the first cage. The participants were two smallish beings(one stocky and one slender) and red haired human. The red haired human made some gesture and the slender being sulked. Cautiously, the red bearded human and the two mages approached Lin and Gourry."
"My name is Tanis. Thank you for rescuing us."
"Nevermind. I need to know in which direction Seyruun or Sairagg is."
Tanis looked at the red robed wizard. "Rastlin? Any ideas on where those are?"
Rastlin stared at Lina in puzzlement. "No. I have not. I am quite sure I would have heard of them or her. I think she's a renegade from the Towers of High Sorcery."
The green robe maged scratched his head. "I seem to recall something about a Sairagg. It was talking about another world, but it was just a story."
Lina slumped to her knees. "We're in another world. Now, I have to figure out how to get back to our world."
Lina shook her head. 'If I use the link the talismans have to their respective Dark Lords, I might be able to get a normal Dragon Slave off. But other than that, my bicg stuff if going to be Fire Shamanisim and the Ragna Blade.'
