Kodachi reached up with one hand and covered his borrowed face with a sigh. "This simply can not end well."
"And why is that?"
"Consider what this game is like. Then take into account the fact that it is very possible that it may result in said 'nightmare' becoming real."
"What are you... Ah."
"This really is bad," murmured Kasumi.
"I am glad that you realize that."
"Why wouldn't I? Having nightmares is always bad, but having someone make you have one is even worse...."
"You simply have no idea...."
"Oh?"
"What we have to keep in mind is that this is likely to happen to her," the body displaced gymnast interrupted. "So long as we do not interfere too much, we should be able to keep it to only her that would be suffering."
"Well, that isn't nice."
"It isn't about being 'nice'. It's about keeping us able to help her properly later... if we desire to."
"Ah, that's alright then."
Eyeing the elder girl, the rich girl-in-Lost Boy frowned before turning back to the matter at hand. "Now, the only question is what will happen."
Just then, a full sized mirror, one with a finely carved border, and a solid looking stand, seemed to fade into existence right next to the youngest Tendo, its dusty and smeared glass focusing right on her.
"Well, that seems to answer that question."
Almost as if directed the mirror tilted to position itself to reflect as much of Akane's form as possible, which looked normal enough... at first. But it slowly became clear that the blurry edges of the image were not simple optical illusions. Instead, they seemed to come into focus as it began to focus on her.
And it was as the image cleared that one really could see Akane's nightmare, which was:
