Not that he might have expected much else, given that there didn't seem to be a clear reason for how it was going out of control as it was. There was a clear intent to be seen, but the fact was that no matter what had been done, the spell always skewed, even if great care had been taken with it. That made it rather difficult to get an understand as to what was going on, since one needed to have a picture of what would make it 'right' in order to fix what was going wrong.
But he couldn't stay talking to the others all day. His fellow wizards might have been quite able to commiserate with him, but there were things that he had to handle himself. Getting over the odd results of his spell would have been one of them... if there weren't other concerns at the time. He was an old man after all, and he had needs. Bathroom breaks were needed, and eating was not something that he'd done away with.
Looking towards one of the maids wasn't one of the things that he wanted to do, but he couldn't help himself. It wasn't that the girl was too attractive for him to look away, although he could admit that she was certainly pretty, in a slender, unassuming way. However, the rather bright smile on her face made it so that one's attention was caught. Considering that it was a smile that combined clear giddiness along side an 'I have a secret' mentality, it was too surprising to miss.
Truthfully, it was a sign that the spell wasn't a problem for those it was calling on. Certainly, being dragged to another universe to become someone's servant might have been bad to many people, but given the world that they were being taken from, being a maid didn't seem to be such a bad proposition. That had preyed upon his mind, as he hadn't wanted to have people taken and enslaved. Such actions would be bad, and he had little patience when others used them.
However, it was obvious that they were doing well, and were actually quite happy in their new lives.
With a sigh, he realized that he was going to have continue doing what he'd been doing. Calling up servants might have been something that he'd only have to do every so often, but he had to figure out what was going on. His apprentice had created a spell with very odd effects, and he knew that they were going to need some answers.
And about the only way to get those answers was to attempt the spell, subtly shifting things as they needed to , if they were to get results.
Recognizing that the situation was going to need a lot of effort, he put a lot of emphasis on his bodily functions, namely getting something to eat, while:
