Nabiki patiently waited for Usa to pick up the phone on Usa's end of the line. After two rings Nabiki heard Usa's voice saying, "Hello, Shields Residence, how may I help you?"
With a small smile on her face Nabiki said, "Hi Usa this is Nabiki. I just wanted to let you know that I and my sisters have managed to get some information about where your husband currently is at thanks to the bozo."
On her end of the line Usa felt her heart start to beat faster at Nabiki's news. Ever since her moron of an in-law took Ranma away on that training trip Usa had been kicking herself for not disappearing with Ranma for a honeymoon in the 30th century. Usa then replied in a chipper voice, "So Nabiki, what have you found out?"
Positioning the phone so that she could continue to talk and do her book keeping at the same time, Nabiki said, "I've got good news, bad news, and so-so news in regards to Ranma. The good news is that he will be arriving in Tokyo either sometime today or tomorrow. Bad news is that the bozo is up to his tricks again and this time his got my father in on the deal. It seems that the two pea brains have got it into their heads to marry Ranma to either me or my sisters. The so-so news is that we're already working on this end for a way to get Ranma over to you princess. That is, of course, Ranma doesn't sneak away from the bozo before he even gets here."
Back in the Shields apartment Usa's right hand had formed a fist as she listened to what Nabiki had just told her. In a very sugary voice Usa said, "Thanks for the heads up Nabiki and I appreciate what you three are doing for me and Ranma. If you want, you and your sisters can join in on my welcome home dinner that I'm going to prepare for Ranma. As the main dish of the dinner I'm going to be serving a rump roast very well done."
