Not-So-Great Will: Celestial Beauracracy at work (or not). (LIME) [Episode 20295]

by Greyman

The Ubercelestial Lottery Board's delivery being removed the Great Will and set to return it to it's proper patsy, er, recipient.  However, the process to turn Ranma into a minor god was already underway.  The gopher noticed this but didn't intervene.  Deciding if such minor things needed fixing, would be the task of this little universe's new janitor once the poor sap received the mop and bu..., err, Great Will.  In the omniversal scheme of things, Ranma's ascension was barely a drip from that bucket.

Without some guiding Intelligence, the automatic systems tried to fore fill Ranma's request as much as possible.  When those systems could not process the request despite their highest level authorization (war being a somewhat popular portfolio with all positions currently over quota despite complaints of a staff shortage), the system requested divine intervention from tech support.  Unfortunately, Bimbeau, neomythical goddess of fashion and fluff, had been rotated into the position at the time to fill in for the sysadmin who was on extended premarital leave, showing that sometimes even divine wisdom wasn't all it was supposed to be.

One ascended mortal named Ranma Saotome became a god/dess (third class, extremely limited license) of Marital Arts with an appropriate temple starter kit.

Ranma emerged from a trance state in the astral plane and shifted to his chamber in the ethereal plane over Tendo Temple.  He blinked and looked around the lavish bedroom with padded furniture, a silk sheeted four poster bed with bizarre carvings and metal attachments, full length mirrors, doors leading to ensuite furro and kitchenette areas or portals to the material plane.  It was at once completely unfamiliar and yet somehow discernibly his.

He scratched his head for a moment, then shrugged and moved to one of the portals.  He knew he could just cross the planar barriers at will, but it would be less effort to just walk.

Stepping through the portal, the newly empowered god/dess of Marital Arts neglected to tone down his divine aura.  He was too busy gawking at the changes that had converted the dojo into a Shinto shrine before encountering....
