'...... how in the hell did I get in this mess?' This was the only thought of the sole passenger inside the bus.
He had a plan for his high school life. Get decent grades, perhaps join some clubs and go through the whole high school sweetheart thing. But of course, that didn't work out well due to something screwing up his high school application. And now... he's on his way to some weird new school.
'...... Youkai Academy, huh?'
"Hey, kid." He looks up to hear the bus driver speaking to him just as the bus started heading through some dark tunnel. "This school you're heading to is pretty dangerous."
"Really?"
There was a small chuckle from the bus driver. "Heh... you'll find out what I mean though when you see for yourself." The bus then emerged on to a dirty road with the stop located near some cliff overlooking a sea. The thing that caught the passenger's eye was that it looked like a sea of blood. "This is as far as I can go. The school's beyond that forest on the left."
"Thanks." The vehicle came to a stop at the bus stop and he got out after taking his suitcase and backpack. "Lovely place," commented the young man in a dry tone.
"Be careful, kid." The doors of the bus closed and soon it was on its way to who knows where. The young man sighed and began his trek through the dark and foreboding forest.
"...... just how much further do I have to go?" He wasn't sure how long he had been walking for but he was certain that it was at least forty minutes or so.
"LOOK OUT!!!" Just as he heard that female's voice, he felt someone's bike crash right into his back.
"AUGH!!" Geez... he's only been here for less than an hour and already he got into an accident.
"Oh my God! I'm so sorry!! Are you okay?" After regaining his bearings, he got a look at the pink-haired girl who had crashed into him. She was wearing the school uniform, which consisted of a green jacket and a brown skirt. And her green eyes really complimented her cute frame. There was also some weird cross attached to a collar on her neck.
"I'm fine. Thanks." He paused when he felt something trickle down his cheek.
"Oh dear, you're bleeding! Let me..." She paused as she took a whiff of the air. "That... smells really nice."
He was really getting nervous at the way she looked at him. "Uh... what?"
"Do you mind if I can just take a sip?" She licked the blood off of his cheek before she lowered her face to his neck and...
KAAAAAPPPPPPUUUUUCCCCCHHHHHHUUUUUU!!!!!!
"WHHHAAAAAHH!!!!"
She didn't get too far as she quickly backed off under her own will power. "I'm so sorry! It's just that... as a vampire... well, it's hard to control myself when I smell blood that good!"
The male put a hand to the part where she had briefly fed and was startled not to feel any particular fang markings. "I... uh... whoa."
"You're a new student too, right? Will you be my friend?"
"Uh... sure?" Honestly, what else could he say? Especially to a cute girl giving him that type of look?
A happy smile appeared on her face and she briefly hugged her new friend. "I'm so glad! My name is Moka Akashiya! What's yours?"
"I'm..."
