It took him a while to find the bus stop that he was dropped off at the previous day. It wasn't too hard to find though since anyone could pick up the pumpkin head on top of the sign post which read "Youkai Private Academy".
As Shiki waited for the bus, he wondered whether he had made the right decision. Obviously, he would be in danger if he stayed but he felt a bit guilty for not having a good sense of closure with Moka earlier. 'I can get back to a normal life if I get away from this place... but I just wish things between me and Moka-san would have worked out better.'
He recalled the depressed look on her face when she spoke of her time in the human world. If anything, she shouldn't have to bear with the feeling of loneliness. Before he could think some more, he heard the sounds of a vehicle and the bus which brought him to this school the previous day stopped in front of him. It even had the same creepy driver as well. "So this is your choice? That's fair enough. As long as you have no regrets, come aboard."
"Actually, I still need a little time to make the choice..."
The driver gave a dark little chuckle. "Heh... so what's it gonna be?"
Shiki took a small breath as he came to his decision.
"Aaaahhh!" She was thrown hard against some of the surrounding tombstones thanks to Saizou's rough handling. The larger man slowly approached her with a grin full of lust and malice.
"How fortunate for me to find you alone and away from prying eyes... ah, Moka Akashiya... your beauty is incomparable to the other human females that I have molested! I want you so badly..." His body started to grow even larger and his dress shirt and jacket started to rip apart. "... that I can't stay in human form any longer!!"
Saizou had taken on his larger demonic form and let out his serpent-like tongue to caress the female's bared legs, much to her disgust. "S-someone help me!!"
"Let her go!!"
The brief distraction allowed her to get away from Saizou's grasp and run towards the person she thought would leave the academy. "Shiki?! Why did you come back?!"
"Oi... didn't I tell you not to come near Moka again, you runt?" As Saizou started to advance, Shiki put down his bags and reached for his knife.
"Get away! You can't handle him, Shiki!!" Her warning was of no use as the larger demon begun his assault on the frail young boy. He managed to dodge the first attack but his speed was no match for the larger demon's as Saizou easily sent him crashing into a tombstone.
"Hahahahaha!! What a weakling!! Moka is now my woman!!" While he was occupied with his fantasies, Moka ran over to the fallen boy with tears in her eyes.
'You came back for me and this happened... how horrible! Humans and monsters... they are quite different, aren't they? All I'll end up doing is hurting Shiki as well because I'm a vampire! The truth is... I just felt like I wanted to make a friend, even if it was just at a human school...'
Much to her surprise, Shiki opened his weary eyes and struggled to get up. "Moka-san... I'm sorry... for earlier. It w-wasn't right just to go back home and part with you like t-that. E-even if you are a vampire... I still want to be your friend."
"What are you babbling about?! Just die already!" Before Moka knew it, Saizou had kicked Shiki away from her, causing his glasses to fall off of his face. The human male was barely able to regain his footing as he landed.
"Shiki, run!!" He merely stood up straight with his head bowed, as if he was admitting defeat.
Saizou leapt in the air, with his enlarged fists ready for the final blow. "I have you now!!"
"Kyokushi..."
As soon as the larger demon got into range, Shiki vanished from sight, only to reappear balanced on top of Saizou's head with his hand before the sounds of a knife cutting into flesh reached Moka's ears. A scream escaped Saizou's lips as a large gash appeared on his bared chest spewing blood everywhere.
"... Nanaya."
As he landed gracefully, Moka was startled to see the radical shift in Shiki's eyes. While normally, the eyes behind his glasses were warm, there was nothing but cold amusement in these new eyes. "I am a spider, webbing in darkness. Welcome... to this beautiful killing field."
