Except that what had just happened was the most pleasurable and intense experience in her entire life. Though she was certain everyone would notice little signs that would betray her.
Like a dam that had been holding back a growing flood and now had cracks showing, it was going to be difficult to settle everything back to an appearance of normality.
Ranma, despite his youth and immaturity, had just demonstrated something she'd never experienced or DARED to imagine before. It wouldn't be proper and so it wasn't a subject she'd considered before. Except now she could see all the little details in the mirror that indicated she'd just had a few doors opened.
Still, she had duties and to be Japanese was to follow duty. Well, in her opinion. Mostly. That was her role. Except had she ever gotten rolled! Whew.
Kasumi stopped herself, took a deep breath and exited her room. Maybe nobody would notice anything amiss and improper about her.
"...I told you that I should get busy fixing dinner."
"Errr. Don't put yourself out. I think it's just about ready. Lemmee check, just probably need to reheat stuff."
Kasumi stopped and put a hand to her chest as Ranma's voice reminded her again of that massage. Oh my indeed.
"Oh no. I've got it covered," came Akane's voice.
"What do you have covered, Akane?" asked Kasumi as she came down the stairs.
"Kasumi? You're up? I thought you... Are you not feeling well, Kasumi?" asked Akane.
"I'm fine," said Kasumi, stopping herself as she realized she was staring at Ranma. "Just fine. Really fine. I'm fine."
"Uh huh," said Akane, looking indecisive.
"I just need to get back to the kitchen," said Kasumi, passing by the two and trying to project normality.
"Do you think she's got a fever or something?" asked Akane after Kasumi went by.
"Looked okay to me," said a relieved Ranma.
"Baka," said Akane. "No. Her eyes were glazed and she looked flushed or something."
"You're just imagining stuff," said Ranma.
