"Foul sorcerer! I shall not stand for this!" chipmunk-squeaked Kuno as he gesticulated from the backyard.
"Uhm, right," said Genma as he looked out there. "Why does he sound like some animated chipmunk?"
"Kuno, right now Nabiki could beat you up without breaking a nail," pointed out Ranma.
"I can?" asked Nabiki, looking surprised.
"Yup, he can't access chi and he runs out of breath with any exertion," explained Ranma.
"I'd heard the voice earlier, but not that detail," said Nabiki. She briefly considered the thought of being able to personally kick Kuno's buttocks around the yard. However enticing the image though, she decided it just wasn't her.
"I shall carve mine name upon thy flesh," gasped Kuno, followed by a wheeze and him dropping to his knees.
"How'd you do that?" asked Genma.
"Pressure point technique," said Ranma around mouthfuls of rice. "Still experimenting with it."
"Ah," said Genma, returning his attention to the important stuff. Like dinner.
"From" (gasp) "Hell's" (wheeze) "heart" (hack) "stab" (thud)
"Kodachi?" asked Akane, seeing the gymnast land atop her brother.
"Guess it didn't work," said Ranma into his rice.
"Alas my dearest Ranma, I have figured out the puzzle of our last encounter," said Kodachi. "I now know that defeating the redhaired harridan would not return you to me."
"Well, she got something right," said Ranma. "Maybe it worked a little."
"What did you do?" asked Akane.
"Among other things I tried a sort of reverse xi fang gao," said Ranma. "There's pressure points to suppress emotion and stimulate memory."
"Oh," said Akane, glancing up at Kodachi. "Better luck next time."
"Are you done?" asked Kodachi.
"Oh yes, right," said Ranma.
"I cannot free you from the grasp of the redhaired harridan because she never truly had you in her grasp!" declared Kodachi.
"Okay," said Ranma. "And?"
Kodachi pointed dramatically at Akane. "Now I know who trained Ranma in the arts of pleasure and pain!"
"Oh? Who would that be?" asked Ranma.
"Do you even understand what she's talking about?" asked Akane.
"No, but that's kinda normal, ain't it?" asked Ranma as he scooped up the last little bit of rice from his bowl.
"It is YOU, Akane Tendo!" said Kodachi, a little miffed that everyone was ignoring her.
"It is I, what?" asked Akane.
"I understand that it is YOU who have brought Ranma great pain and pleasure," said Kodachi, thinking maybe she had to simplify it.
"Say what?" asked Akane.
"Can't argue the pain part," said Ranma. "Nah thanks Kasumi. I'm good."
"What was that? Would you care to repeat that?" asked Akane. "And what do you mean 'pleasure'?"
"I think she kinda means when you're nice to me one minute and pounding me the next," put in Ranma.
"THAT'S IT EXACTLY!" verbally pounced Kodachi.
"Oh, well, duh, everyone knows about that," said Nabiki.
"But... He deserves it!" said Akane.
"Well, yeah," agreed Nabiki.
"But I shall not concede victory entirely as of yet," said Kodachi. "Prepare yourself, Akane, for tomorrow shall I give you precisely what you have been craving!"
Ranma stared.
Akane stared.
Nabiki stared.
Kuno grumbled about his sister still standing on top of him. In a high squeaky voice.
"Farewell until tomorrow!" declared Kodachi, leaping over the fence and producing a high pitched squeak from her brother at the same time.
"That made no sense whatsoever," said Akane finally.
"It was Kodachi," pointed out Ranma.
"Why do I have this feeling of doom hanging over my head?" asked Akane.
"Experience," said Ranma, Genma, and Nabiki.
