Setsuna Meio, a.k.a. Sailor Pluto, was standing behind Inari in her sailor uniform. Normally, Setsuna did not leave the Time Gates and left protecting the Earth up to the other sailor senshi. However, this was a special case. While running a routine check-up on the Time Gates Setsuna had caught a glimpse of a possible future. Usually, such a thing wouldn’t even catch Setsuna’s attention. She was after all supposed to keep other people from using time travel as a way to alter history and not use the Time Gates to manipulate history.
But the horrific vision of the entire world enslaved was too much for Setsuna; she had to do something to stop that vision from possibly occurring. Naturally, Setsuna didn’t know which course of events would cause that hellish future to occur. All Setsuna knew at the moment was that one of the occurrences here tonight would be one of the major events that would lead to that future occurring.
It was precisely because of the fact that she knew so little about what could possibly occur tonight that Setsuna had come to the museum without backup. The Outers would most likely have blindly charged into the situation and thus potentially cause that future become true. The Inners just weren’t ready for the gray situation that was happening. This whole problem called for a calm person who could think in shades of gray and as much as Setsuna didn’t want to admit it, she was the only Sailor Senshi who fit the bill.
Inari gave a chuckle in his harsh Goa’uld voice and said, “I must admit I wasn’t expecting to be interrupted tonight.” He then turned around so that he and Setsuna could see each other’s face. Setsuna was quite surprised to see that the person in front of her was none other than Ranma Saotome. Or at least the person looked like Ranma Saotome because Setsuna knew from her occasional observations of the boy’s life that the person in front of her wasn’t acting like Ranma.
