She'd asked on the way to school exactly what a 'Princess' pokegirl was. Not all of the explanation made a lot of sense to her.
"So you're a 'Princess'?" asked Kasumi."Not human royalty," said Setsuna, walking alongside her house-mate. "I'm a 'breed' of pokegirl. Very Near Human, Psychic element. Similar to a Sorceress or Elementalist, in fact there are some researchers who think that the designations 'Princess' and 'Elementalist' should be merged with 'Sorceress.'"
"But what exactly does that mean?" asked Kasumi, speeding her pace up to keep up with Setsuna.
"Very Near Human simply means that I'm very similar to a human woman in many aspects," said Setsuna. "Medicines and foods for humans are most likely to have their normal effects on me. Psychic element means I have some special abilities in that regard."
"'Psychic' abilities?" asked Kasumi.
"My main technique is Oracle, in which I can get glimpses of the future," said Setsuna. "Though techniques dealing with the future are notoriously difficult to control. That's because the future is so subject to changing from moment to moment. I also have some talents with Telepathy and Telekinesis and can manage small Teleports."
"That could still be handy," said Kasumi, thinking that knowing what to study for a test would be very useful.
Kasumi glanced at the desk where Setsuna was seated and listening to the lecture. Setsuna having lightly tanned skin and dark green hair were certainly unusual, and her ears had a light point to them, but she mostly looked human.
That her pencil was making notes in her notebook without her physically touching it - that marked her as somewhat atypical for a Japanese student.
The teacher kept stopping to stare in that direction, but had apparently decided that as long as Setsuna didn't do anything deliberate to disrupt class he'd not say anything about floating pens and the like.
Sakurada Haruna was aware of the other teachers gathering to watch alongside her.
"Are you sure he's human?" asked one of the other teachers after a moment of silence.
What they were watching was PE. A nice friendly game of soccer. Boys versus girls. Nothing particularly special.
"ROWR!" declared Minako, pouncing towards the ball like a blonde comet.
Ranma kicked the ball up, leapt up after it, and kicked the ball to the side.
His teammate flinched on seeing the ball rocketing towards him in that unusual passing style.
Minako changed course abruptly, still tracking the ball.
Usagi collided with Minako, both going down in a tangle.
Ranma was abruptly there, to kick his own pass in what seemed to be a certain if long-distance goal.
Except that Makoto was playing goalie and grass erupted in order to become a hedge to block the shot.
"I think maybe we really ought to go over the rules of the game at some point," said the PE Teacher.
