Usagi’s eyes fluttered as she started to wake up from that strange dream she had had of a cat handing her a broach, having to go fight a monster, and then being rescued from death by a wild looking man. Right now, she just wanted to snuggle under her blankets and have a more peaceful dream. However, Usagi did not get her wish as Shingo said at a volume that she couldn’t ignore, “Time to get up, Sis. We need to talk about you being Sailor Moon and almost getting yourself killed last night.
Upon hearing Shingo mention the name Sailor Moon, Usagi shot up wide awake. To Usagi’s surprise, the brat was sitting on the end of her bed with a bound and gagged Luna next to him. In a confused and not fully awake manner Usagi said, “Huh? What? Shingo, what’s going on?”
In a smart-alecky manner that completely shocked Usagi Shingo said, “What’s going on is I’m berating you for going into battle without any training, solely on the word of this hairball.” Shingo then sighed and said in a more friendly tone, “Sorry for going off like that, Sis, but last night scared me. If I hadn’t intervened when I did you wouldn’t be lying in bed now, you’d be lying in a black box.”
Both Usagi and Luna’s eyes widened when Shingo said that he had intervened to save Usagi’s life. While pointing her finger at Shingo and blinking her eyes, Usagi said, “Y-you s-saved m-me?” In her mind she compared her brother’s image to Dark Schneider’s. Something was missing in her analysis because she just couldn’t wrap her mind around the idea of her brother and DS being the same person. They weren’t even the same size!
Suddenly, Usagi heard a voice to her right say, “Ya better believe it girl. If your brother hadn’t transformed and intervened you’d be dead.” Usagi whipped her head to her right and saw her brother’s pet lizard Laras sitting back on his hind legs on her desk. Laras blinked at Usagi and then said, “What? You met a talking cat last night; is a talking lizard really that farfetched?”
Usagi’s poor mind was currently frying all of its circuit breakers as it tried to keep up with the numerous assaults on her worldview. Shingo delivered the final blow as he said, “You’re not the only one to have magical powers, Sis, and I’m not talking about Sailor V. I’m the reincarnation of a powerful wizard named Dark Schneider, and Laras is the reincarnation of an old traveling companion of mine from that lifetime. Last night I used a spell I created to take on my past life’s form to hide who I am. Now I’m going to offer you a choice Sis. Your first option is that I take your broach, use a spell to convince you that this is all a dream, and dispose of the hairball.” At that last part Luna’s fur turned completely white, which neither sibling noticed. “Or,” Shingo said with a sadistic grin on his face, “I train you in REAL magic that I’ve learn from my past life. What’s your choice, Sis?”
