Saotome Ranma was having the time of his life.
After flying around for about an hour, he decided to head back to Tokyo. It didn’t take him long before he was hovering over the city once again. Expanding his senses, he quickly picked out the Ki signatures of the residents of the Tendo Dojo. However, as he was considering flying towards it, he suddenly noticed something else.
A strange sensation registered in his mind, and he instantly recognized what it was. His senses seemed to register the ‘feel’ of different types of energy, allowing him to immediately pinpoint the nature of it. What he was feeling was obviously a magical signature, and a rather powerful one. After a brief moment of debate, he decided that he’d head back later. Turning, he flew at a more docile pace towards the signature.
It didn’t take him long to reach the location of where he had felt it, and Ranma hovered over the district. His six large wings beat steadily to keep him around 300 meters above ground, his draconic eyesight allowing him to easily see everything on the ground with perfect acuity. Examining the odd battle that was occurring, Ranma found himself staring down at the strangest sight he had ever seen…
A group of girls, all clad in different colored sailor fuku, were hurling magical attacks at their opponents with a fervent determination. They were obviously having a difficult time, and many of them were injured. After a moment of observation, Ranma recognized these girls as the Sailor Senshi, a group of magical girls that Akane was a huge fan of. She had a poster of them in her bedroom and a complete set of dolls on her shelf that depicted them, right down to the frilly bows. The fact that Ranma was so high up allowed him to remain safely out of their field of vision, and the fact that his six wings didn’t make as much noise or generate as much wind as a single pair would allowed him to remain relatively safe from detection. That presumed that they didn’t look directly up, of course.
Looking on the other side of the battle, he suddenly recognized what they were fighting. He had seen the creatures before, although it had been a long time ago. They were fighting…
