Ryofuu and Chinkyu panted from their exertion as they stood over the six fallen bodies of Kaku's men.
"Don't think you can fool Totaku, Ryofuu Hosen," Kaku sneered.
"Ryofuu Hosen..." Ryofuu echoed. "Heh, you will never know how much I've had to suffer because of that name. I think it's better for me to just accept my Fate—even follow it. At least that's the dignified choice, unlike Totaku who is being a complete coward."
Kanu ground her teeth at the insult to her leader. Ryofuu laughed at her as she and Chinkyu turned to walk away. Kaku was torn. On the one hand, she had been ordered to bring Ryofuu to Totaku. On the other, she knew she didn't stand a chance against Ryofuu in a fight. All she could do was stand there with her fists clenched in anger.
"Is it alright that you let Kaku go?" Chinkyu asked Ryofuu.
"I'm declaring war on Totaku," Ryofuu explained. "I need someone to take him the message."
"That fool has finally lost her mind," Kaku smirked as she watched the pair walk away.
Ryomou was far from happy. In fact she was on her way to being deeply depressed as she wandered the streets aimlessly, her string of recent defeats echoing through her mind. It had all started with Sonsaku and continued with her defeat and sexual assault at the hands of Ryofuu. Finally, she had lost to Kanu Unchou, someone she was Fated to defeat. She had never felt so weak and powerless.
She caught her reflection in a store window and paused to study the bandaged image it reflected. Suddenly a pair of hands reached around her and cupped her breasts, giving them a firm squeeze.
"Now why are you standing in the middle of a busy street looking so hopeless," Ryomou spun around to see Saji standing suavely behind her. "It's not right for one of the Big Four."
"Saji..." Ryomou said in surprise, backing up against the store window as he stepped closer.
"But that is what makes you so cute, Mou-chan," Saji smiled, with one arm over her head leaning on the window and toying with the bow on the collar of her uniform with one finger.
"Saji," Ryomou repeated, blushing. "What are you doing here?"
"I heard there was a new player in the game," Saji said smoothly. "I was on my way to see him for myself. He's supposed to be fighting Kyosho today."
"You mean Ranma?" Ryomou asked.
"I believe that was his name, yes," Saji nodded. "Would you like to come along?"
Ryomou looked away, blushing.
"Whatever," she replied disinterestedly. "I don't have anything better to do."
A Boeing 747-400 passed close overhead on its approach to Narita. The ground shook as the four large GE CF-6 engines thrust the massive aircraft through the air with a whining, thunderous roar.
On the ground below, Kakuka buried his fist in Ranma's gut, but paid for the hit with Ranma's counter punch to Kakuka's face. The dark-blond boy was knocked backward on his back with his eye swelling shut and blood streaming from the pressure cut above it.
"Kakuka! Get up!" Ouso shouted.
Kakuka rolled to the side just in time to avoid Ranma's foot-stomp to his gut. The miss left a crater in the concrete beneath Ranma's foot. Kakuka lashed out from the ground with a foot-sweep, hoping to get some distance to get to his feet. His adversary leapt over the foot-sweep but backed off to give him a chance to get up.
Ranma's generosity didn't last though. As soon as the other boy was on his feet, Ranma rapidly closed the distance and nailed him in the chest with a spinning back kick before the other boy could set himself. Kakuka roared in pain as he was blasted backward, slamming into a concrete wall leaving another crater.
"Heh, it worked," Ranma smirked at his successful reproduction of the ki technique he had seen Kanu using.
Kakuka staggered out of the crater he had been embedded in, and stripped off his uniform jacket which was now missing most of the front around where Ranma's kick had landed. He looked up at Ranma with his good eye and snarled.
"You'll pay for that," Kakuka growled. Those uniforms weren't cheap and he had had his tailored to fit perfectly.
Ranma just smirked arrogantly and wiped some blood from his lip with the back of his hand before giving Kakuka the 'bring it on' gesture. It was all but over now. The guy was pretty tough and had actually managed to land a few good shots on Ranma, but he was hurt now and slowing down. It was only a matter of time before Ranma owned his ass.
Kakuka charged toward Ranma, leaping into the air for a kick, but Ranma surprised him by leaping into the air as well, delivering his own kick which drove Kakuka into the ground hard enough to crack the concrete. Ranma landed and waited to see if his opponent was going to get up.
To Ranma's surprise, Kakuka did just that. The blond boy forced himself to his feet shakily and turned to face Ranma, favoring an arm that had been twisted by the impact with the concrete. It was clear that he couldn't take much more as he wobbled like a drunk on a three day bender, but he was still up.
"It's time," Ranma announced, streaking in and planting an uppercut under the other fighter's chin. "Stay down this time," Ranma ordered as he watched Kakuka fly in a ballistic arc to slam down on his neck and shoulders a short distance away from his buddies.
It was soon clear that Kakuka wouldn't be getting up this time and the ref called the fight.
"Ranma of Seito wins!" the ref announced.
"Way to go, Ma-chan!" Hakufu cheered, hopping up and down wildly.
"Holy shit," on of the spectators commented. "He's a freakin' monster!"
"No wonder Seito only sent two fighters," another said. "Between Kanu and this guy, Seito is unstoppable! Can you imagine how strong the rest of the school is?"
"Yo, Sousou," Ouso called out. "Looks like you're up, dude. Kakuka got his ass handed to him."
"Huh? What?" Sousou blinked, waking up from his nap.
"Kakuka got demolished," Ouso repeated. "You gotta fight now, dude."
"He is magnificent," Chou'un said in an impressed tone.
"Indeed he is," Cologne agreed. "I take it this is the first time you've seen him fight?"
"No, but it is the first time I've seen him fight on that level," Chou'un answered. "The other times were just considered sparring matches."
"Trust me, girl, you haven't seen him get serious yet," Cologne cackled.
Ukitsu clapped her hands and laughed gleefully from where she was seated on the edge of a rooftop. She was enjoying herself hugely as she watched Sonsaku's stud-muffin cousin crush Kyosho's second in command. She couldn't wait to see how he did against Sousou Moutoku.
"What a great show!" Ukitsu cheered. "I'm definitely going to have to challenge him to a fight. I know just the stakes too..."
Ukitsu's grin broadened and her eyes glazed over as she slipped into another fantasy involving Sonsaku's cousins, a length of silken rope, a jar of Maraschino cherries and a quart of strawberry ice cream.
