Shampoo's eyes widened as she noticed the hastily dug out pit, complete with heavy duty wooden trap door, out in the yard opposite the koi pond. Surely Ranma wouldn't let this happen to her, he would stop this--
"Not gonna remember, not the hair rinse, anything but the..."
--or perhaps he would cower in the corner. Kasumi was a gentle soul though and wouldn't condone such--
"Oh, what a clever idea, Uncle Saotome. How ever did you come up with it?"
--an apparently "clever" idea. But at least Nabiki wouldn't want to let a source of mon--
A snore drifted over from the wall and put an end to that thought.
--no matter, she would just take her lumps and admit it had been an act. She opened her mouth to give herself up...and the most atrocious taste she had ever had the unpleasant experience of having in her mouth seemed to jump on to the back of her tongue.
An unconscious swallowing reflex was ruthlessly suppressed as her consciousness focused down to that lump of...food...stuck midway between the opening of her mouth and her throat. Forward or back, each decision was so horrible it didn't bear thinking about. She didn't even notice the hands running through her hair or along her arms and legs, each pass leaving a deposit of fishy smelling stuff.
Finally, she made her decision and swallowed--and knew immediately that had been the wrong idea when the world started swinging back and forth. Wait a minute. Back and forth, and...her eyes widened and an incoherent yell escaped as the hands holding her relaxed their grip and she went flying into the pit.
Soun turned to Genma as Ranma shivered in the kitchen corner and Akane gargled upstairs in the bathroom, having given her food a try after Shampoo froze up in 'bliss'. "Are you sure this is such a good idea, Saotome?"
"Of course, Tendo. You see, the reason I was unable to cure the boy earlier was because of two mistakes on my part." He wrenched a strap on the lid and prepared to slam it, but gestured at the dark inner covering instead. "You see, my first mistake was using flimsy wood to keep Ranma in for the full duration of the cure. I've switched over to reinforced steel instead though, so this should be far more secure. Secondly though, I was using only _one_ type of fish. Obviously that wasn't enough. My new fish paste uses seventeen different varieties of fish. It's guaranteed!"
A smile blossomed on the eldest Tendo daughter's face. "What an ingenious plan, Uncle Saotome. I'm just sure this will cure Shampoo."
