They didn't pound him flat and throw him onto the train tracks.
You could see the idea kind of floating there, but it didn't quite occur.
"Furinkan Cho!" said the speakers as the train came to a halt.
Ranma followed the others out, watching as the expected beatdown didn't happen. You could feel it in the air though, like the build in pressure as a storm swept in. That all three were standing off by themselves and whispering gave him reason to be nervous.
"You realize what this means," whispered Kasumi as she stood next to the other two.
"We beat his father senseless? No wait, he doesn't have any sense," whispered Ayane back.
"No, I know what she means," said Hitomi. "Pre-emptive strike."
"Oh yeah, right," whispered back Ayane. "My mating cycle doesn't start for another three weeks."
"Two weeks," whispered back Kasumi, her eyes flicking towards the third member of this discussion.
"That soon?!" squeaked Hitomi before quieting down to a whisper.
"You're not that soon?" said Kasumi, relaxing slightly.
"A woman's Season lasts three weeks," said Ayane in a low voice. "There's overlap."
"That could be a problem, even if we didn't have a problem with each other," agreed Kasumi. "I was going to just take the pills for it this season."
Hitomi nodded at that, as that had been her plan as well. It was common knowledge you couldn't rush a guy that fast.
"At any time some female demon is going to try sweeping Ranma away and do THAT with him," said Ayane, eyes narrowed as she looked towards Genma. "His first time." A man's first time was important, there were plenty of magazine articles that made that statement.
"Men have it so lucky, not having Needs like a woman does," said Hitomi. "Much less a Season."
"I don't see a solution," confessed Kasumi. "It's not like any of us three will concede Ranma's first time to another of us." The sentence ended on a questioning note which robbed the statement of some finality.
"Four," mumbled Hitomi. "You do realize who was on that transciever Ayane found on her."
"That's right," grumped Ayane. "We also have to deal with:"
