It had been a dark and stormy night, but it had been a worse morning for Ranma Saotome. There were puddles everywhere, and places dripping that he didn't realize that dripped until they did. It was just the kind of conditions ducks loved. So Mousse was out.
He had been trying to organize a flock of ducks into a fighter squadron. Their mission? Ranma, of course.
Shampoo had brought a teakettle, then insisted that he and she have breakfast together. It just had to be have been spiked with something.
Akane had put her foot down.
Ranma had left the lavender cat up the tree he had clambered up in his phobic panic.
She, then, had springboarded from a branch of that rain-drenched tree to land in front of Kuno.
She was save from his molestations only because Nabiki had some deal going for Kodachi, who wanted to see "that dear, sweet lad!".
Now Ranma waited in his classroom for THAT problem to show itself. "I'd ask what else could go wrong, but I'm sure to find out."
"Students of Furinkan High, I have bad news for you," the P.A. speaker announced. "Our Beloved Principal, Headmaster Kuno will be replaced, as he has been in a serious accident."
"THAT'S bad news?" That pretty much summed up the attitude of the students as excitement swept away all thought of the lesson.
"100...99...98...97..." counted the P.A. speaker.
"That's bad for him, and even the Kunos, I suppose..."
"But it's GOOD for us!"
...71...70...69...68..."
"Party at lunchtime!"
"The curry bread's on me!"
"....43...42...41...40..."
"Class! Stop being delinquents! This is school time: Will I have to punish you?"
"What's her problem? Miss Hinako didn't like the control freak any more than we did!"
"...27...26...25...24..."
"Ranma, go ask her to give us some time to adjust to the news!"
"Me!? Why me!!?!"
"...13...12...11...10..."
"Ranma Saotome, you are being the most disruptive! Five-yen Satsu!"
Ranma slumped over onto his desk. The class came to order.
"...4...3...2...1. The good news is that Headmaster Kuno has thought of some of you in his will. Ranma Saotome and Akane Tendo should come to the office for it's reading."
