By the time it had reached mainland China, it was disc-shaped and had lost about a quarter of its total speed. Despite the curve, there was enough data available that its final resting place could be determined.

The battle between Midnight Musume and the combination of Ranma and Senshi was short, brutal, and entirely one-sided.
Even the monsters who had controlled the talent-club seemed embarassed at the speed their unwilling minions were beaten.
However that didn't last very long either.
Several Predator-style drones had been released, though one was still in the area near where Midnight Musume and Senshi and Ranma had gathered to fight bio-constructs.
Another had gone in a slightly different direction.
"We missed it before because we were 'edge-on,'" said the operator, looking up at her commanding officer.
"Well, that blows one theory," said her commander, chewing on the end of an unlit cigar. A nervous habit he was still trying to break.
The Predator circled another Gate, this one bisecting a hill and surrounded by what looked like the same sort of vehicles found in the city.
The dot had slowly become a disc, and a landscape could be seen whizzing by within the disc. As it had slowed to below Mach, something came through it.
The insect was easily identified as a dragonfly, though roughly six times the size one would normally expect to find.
After some initial panic, it was captured for study by an enterprising college student. It was also dead, though it would take some time to determine that it required a higher oxygen concentration than was found in present-day Earth air.
When Gate-2 finally came to a stop, it was about the same size as Gate-1.
It also, as the assembled members of the Chinese Army discovered when they entered Gate-2 to claim the world on the other side for China, not the same world as the one connected to in Japan. This particular world turned out to be Earth, except that:
