The Red Streak went through manuevers that would have wrapped a snake into a particularly painful series of knots.
Several of their attackers found their target suddenly missing and their blaster fire hitting each other's ships.
When Akane, the ship's captain, threw up from motion sickness inside the lower turret - and ordered Cologne to keep it steady, Ku Loren did exactly that. Captain Tenso might not have a lot of experience - but she was the captain.
Akane went to the upper turret as things stopped flipping at weird angles, and began firing away with great enthusiasm.
However, as has been noted earlier, Akane was not a very good shot when dealing with guns. She didn't like violent videogames, which might have been part of her conflict of trying to be a traditional Japanese girl while being singularly unskilled in those areas and too proud to admit such.
Her turret gun blazed merrily away and hit absolutely nothing. But she was very enthusiastic about it.
"Red Streak, Red Streak this is Orange Wombat. Heading your way like a screaming, errr, wombat. Have procured package and am ready for delivery."
Akane looked at the communicator that had produced Xiang's voice and no sense. "Huh?"
Loren broke in with the translation. "Xiang has found Red and has commandeered a ship and is returning."
"Oh," said Akane, continuing to shoot wildly in all directions. "Why didn't she just say so?"
"Red Streak! Torpedo off your six!"
"Off my what?!" Akane wondered if this was something perverted or was it some other weird Star Wars term.
