Yu-gi-Oh, My: Cards: Reactions to the Envoy [Episode 209670]

by HistorianoftheKais

Now Ranma's transformation naturally generated a lot of interest among those who witnessed it. Really, how could seeing Ranma transform into a Duel Monster not generate a reaction? Even for Nerima this rated high on the weird meter. Akane's friends who had been playing Duel Monsters before this who incident started were now staring at Ranma with hearts in their eyes. Apparently they both had a thing for guys in armor. Akane was annoyed that yet another crazy adventure had started so soon after the last one had been taken care of. Genma was annoyed that Ranma was decked out like some sort of western knight instead of like a samurai. Nabiki was quickly finding a place to hide for when the show started and was trying to figure out how she could make a few yen.

Usually someone would have started yelling at Ranma because of his transformation for one stupid reason or another. However, this time things were different. Everyone who had witnessed Ranma's transformation had felt the frightening power of the Shadow Realm that had changed him. That energy and the fear that it generated seemed to linger around Ranma like a frighting aura.

What made everyone so nervous was the fact that Ranma's face and especially his eyes seemed different then before the transformation. This was understandable since a Shadow Monster's brain was different then a human brain. The colder, more calculating, parts of Ranma's personally were brought to the fore and surprised the more jovial aspects of his personality that he usually showed. This wasn't the Ranma everyone was used to dealing with. Instead, this was the Ranma that had been willing to kill Saffron.

Of course, these personally changes did not mean that Ranma was now a cold blooded fighter without any morals or emotions. Rather, Ranma looked at things in a different manner when he was in his monster form then he did when he was in his human form. However, even though Ranma looked at things differently the core of who he was was still the same. One example of this was the fact that Ranma still felt a strong sense of loyalty to his father and the Tendo family.

Seeing that his father and friends were upset by his changes, Ranma thought about what he should do to correct this problem. He then calmly said, "Don't worry. I won't harm any of you. I'm still me."

Although Ranma's voice was harsh, everyone there could understand what he was saying. They still sensed the Shadow Realm's energy emanating from Ranma, but now the energy felt like a warning against any who would wish them harm. Even Genma felt a sense of protection from Ranma's cold aura.
