if I had decided to cut down the interference of deities to a more normal level for a D&D campaigin.

"Hey, no going back to sleep," a familiar voice said, kicking at him a little. Ranma snapped back awake. "Fine time to be faking it bro."
"And I thought that dart had really gotten him," Akane grumbled. Ranma muttered irritably and sat up looking around. "Just like a damn drow."
"Oh get off it!" the first voice, Ranma recognized it as his sister's now.
"What happened?" Ranma asked, rubbing his head. "Where is everybody?" He saw two of the five humans, the fighter Akane and her mercenary sister, but there was no sign of the halfling rogue, Konatsu or his elven wife, Ukyou. Nor was that half-orc barbarian there, for which he was thankful, though of course, Ranko would likely not agree. (for some reason Ranko was stuck on Ryouga, who was stuck on Akane...who was oblivious)
Hopefully they and the other three humans were okay. Though he was certain the Kuno wizardess had probably had an ace up her sleeve for escape, he wasn't so certain about the priestess Kasumi, or the would-be paladin, Kuno.
"We were ambushed," Akane snapped, the human fighter crossed her arms irritably. "As if you don't know. Some guides you two were."
"We got caught in a battle between the damn spider kissers and that bastard's bootlickers," Ranko clarified, rubbing a hand through her fire-red hair, a rarety among drow. She was of course referring to Lloth's and Vhaerun's worshippers.
"Will you all quiet down?" Nabiki asked. "I'm trying to concentrate here." She proceeded to...
