"Crikey!" said some short fellow next to a positively humongous hamster. "Got the bluidy thing in reverse!"

"Uh HUH," said Ranma. "You're not engaged to me, are you?"

"Of course not!" said the short guy. "Whu? Ah, it's you! Ranma Saotome, ain't cha?"

"Uh," Ranma managed as he considered saying no.

"Yes, this is Ranma Saotome, Prince Of The Faerie Realm!" declared a dark elf, having gotten between Ranma and the two with both of her curved swords drawn.

"Well, good enuff," said the fellow. "I am Picknshovel! Gnome Starship Engineer First Class! Greetings and salutations, my liege!"

"So now you're a faerie prince and a king-of-the-gnomes, Saotome?" asked Nabiki, wondering if any money came out of either deal.

VUMMMMMM! went some transporter effect again.

"Oh my, bunnygirls," noted Kasumi.

"These are the Viera," said Picknshovel. "Now you might have one or two fiancees among them and the Mithra."

One of the armored bunnygirls dropped to a knee and brought a fist to her sizable chest, followed by the rest of the six man girl squad. "We are your honored guard, Lord Ranma, the Puh-laht Sisters. At last we have found you."

"and hubba hubba," muttered one of the bunnygirls in the back.

"Oh MY," said Kasumi as she noticed where the hamster had wandered. "Akane has just been eaten by a giant space hamster!"

"Not even," exclaimed Picknshovel, quick to defend the well-trained lumbering space beast. "Look! See that. She's just been stuffed into a cheek pouch for safekeeping."

VUMMMMMM! went some transporter effect yet again.

"Oh, well that's all right then," said Kasumi.

"Hey now, I didn't ask anyone for any of this," began Ranma, standing up. "In fact I..." sniff "that is I..." sniff sniff "is that real beef?"

Glancing up from the large grill with various steaks and mushrooms and fish that she was tending, a Mithra nodded happily. "Nyes! Celebratory feastie!"

• Ranma blows up and protests all this anyway.
• Large amounts of food are prepared and served, which manages to defuse a lot of the problems that could otherwise have erupted.
• A month goes by with Furinkan now a crosscultural school attended by various faerie as Japan tries to cope with the situation by putting a thin (almost see-through) layer of normality over the whole thing.
• the Puh-laht Bunnies reveal that only Ranma can save them from the evil martial arts prince who has conquered their homeworld. Ranma is grateful that something finally makes sense.
