Kelemvor looked at the vast seething plane. "Okay, this IS bad."
"It is as you say," said the seneschal.
"Those of the countries of Lurien and Lathan, this way please," said one of the servitors of the God Of The Dead as he tried to manage some traffic control.
"This goes several layers beyond bad," said Kelemvor. "Worse is that I recognize far too many of these."
"Ah, well, they won't be returning this time, entirely too many of those who might intervene and recall them..." said Jergal with a vague shrug.
"Are there on the Fugue Plane with them," finished Kelemvor Lyonsbane, god of death. "Eh? Oh, enter."
"A word with you, Lord Of Death," said a group of gods as the air shimmered to admit them.
"Well, now this is unexpected, especially as busy as you all are with this 'spellplague' event," said Kelemvor. "Kwan Ying of the Shou, Zaltec of the Maztica, Osiris of the Mulhorand, Yondalla of the Halflings, Segojan Earthcaller of the Gnomes, Erevan Ilesere... No. It can't be regarding that."
"There are many whose lives were cut short, their fates unfulfilled," said Osiris. "My own homeland is lost and soon I shall fade. Will you hear us out at least?"
"Look at it this way," said Kwan Ying with a polite bow, "it might be cheating a bit by going Outside normal channels, but we're just lessening the blow of someone ELSE's cheating."
"This couldn't work, we don't have the power even if we pull together," argued Kelemvor.
"If we divert some of the spellplague's energies, channel it, and use THAT?" asked Osiris. "I'll take full responsibility for it. Mulhorand isn't surviving anyway."
Nerima, "Present Day"
"Wow," said Nabiki after the pixie swarm went their separate ways - leaving an unconscious and disheveled (also mostly disrobed) Akane behind.
"Repressed desires beckon pixies onward, and they need little encouragement in THAT regard," said the dark elf.
"So, uhm, how many fiancees DOES Ranma-kun have?" asked Kasumi.
"One of each of the elven tribal types," said the dark elf, smiling cattily.
"And how many is THAT?" asked Nabiki.
"One for the dark elves who dance in the night," said the dark elf, leaning close and going dramatic. "One for the bright elves who favor the light. One for the wild elves who live among the trees. One for the sea elves who dwell amongst the seas."
"Why are you doing it like that?" asked the high elf.
"I thought it had more dramatic impact," said the dark elf, snapping open a fan to cover the lower part of her face. "Do you mind?"
