The first thing that Ranma did was to try to identify the girl currently attached to his left side. The girl’s hair appeared to be black, though the portion where the morning sunlight hit it was shining violet. With the way the girl’s head was resting on his chest, Ranma was unable to determine her features. Shifting his head to the right a bit, he could see a frail looking hand peaking out from the covers that were over the pair.
Slowly, he returned his gaze to the ceiling. He still had no clue who the girl was. Closing his eyes again, Ranma began to go backward through his memories. Hmm, so he tucked the girl into bed himself since she wasn’t awake. Why wasn’t she awake? Fainted near Furinkan? Doctor Tofu’s would have been closer. Why didn’t he take her there?
Wow, she was really cute in that black dress with the little holes in it. The crystal light things hanging from the ceiling were pretty cool, too. Wait, he kissed her?! Akane was gonna kill him. Huh, they put rings on each other fingers? Where the hell were they? Hmm…Greater Tokyo Christian Church of God? Las Vegas Wedding Special?
Ranma’s eyes snapped open. “Holy shit,” he whispered, “we’re married.” The shock of that fact brought everything back to him. He remembered his old man and Mr. Tendo making everyone go on a picnic. He remembered the Amazon Trio, Ryogo, and Kuno showing up on the way to the park and ‘joining’ them. He remembered his father and Mr. Tendo forcing him and Akane to stand next to each other for a picture. He remembered his old man pulling out a jar and opening it. Ranma shivered as he recalled the pink light covering the two old men and than shooting out and him and Akane. Their reflexes saved them as they dove in different directions.
The light, however, followed him. He got up and ran, the light chasing him out of the park and into Tokyo. It didn’t matter where he ran, the light followed. Over buildings, through buildings, even under a building when he tried to go through the sewers for a bit, the light still followed. He wasn’t able to avoid it using his curse either, though the first time he changed the light hesitated for a moment before continuing the chase. He tried it a couple of more times, ending up male at the end, but the light still followed.
He was running through the Nerima rail station when the light stopped chasing him. Instead, it focused on a girl who appeared a few years younger than him. Ranma didn’t stop to consider why the pink light switched targets, he just through himself at the girl trying to knock her out of the way. The light hit him, and then enveloped them both.
Ranma stopped remembering what happened and looked down at the girl again. He could guess what the pink light was; some kind of love spell that the old fools were going to use on him and Akane. And instead, it got this girl, who he was now married to. Great.
He needed to get out of here. He needed to figure out what to do. He was starving and REALLY needed breakfast. Slowly and carefully, Ranma extracted himself from the girl’s light grip. Once free, he was relieved to see the girl was still dressed, though he was a bit nervous over being in just his boxers and undershirt. Moving as quiet as a thief, he grabbed his clothes from the floor and pulled them on, noticing that his father was missing from the room. Now dressed, he headed for the door.
