Before Ranma could open the door, it banged open from the kick of a crazed looking panda. A scream came from behind the pair, but both ignored it. A sign appeared in the panda’s hand. Boy, pack your things! The sign flipped over. We’re leaving now! Genma dropped the sign and pushed Ranma out of the way so that he could get in the room. Once inside, he yanked open the closet and threw Ranma’s travel backpack at him.
“Hey, Pops! What the hell are you doing?” Ranma grabbed the pack out of mid-air and glared at his father’s back.
A sign came up in response. Pack now, talk later!
Ranma swore under his breath and pulled open his backpack, and began to throw his few scattered items into it.
“Wh…what’s going on?”
Ranma blink and turned toward his bed-roll, looking at the frail girl who was now sitting up and staring wide-eye at him.
“Umm…well…” Ranma stammered, “I guess we’re leaving.”
“Why?”
Ranma shrugged, grabbing the blanket from the bedroll and stuffing it into his backpack before closing it up. “No idea. I guess the flea bag will tell us later.” Ranma pointed to Genma, who was now at the window.
Come on, boy! Genma tossed the sign away and jumped out the window, much to Hotaru’s surprise.
Ranma quickly pulled his backpack on and than scooped up Hotaru into his arms. “I guess we can talk while we run.” With that said, Ranma leapt out the window after his father, over the Tendo’s walls, and up to the roofs as the three ran away from the Tendo home.
Back in the Tendo home, specifically in Soun’s bed, the man was just waking up. “Oh, Saotome, you were wonderful,” he muttered, reaching over to his side and patting around. Finding nothing, he opened his eyes and blinked. “Saotome? Where are you?”
Soun blinked for a moment before shrugging. He’d see his wife at breakfast. Who knew that Genma’s Panda form was female?
