(Author's Note: This is inspired by a short story I read a while back in an amusing, rather lime-scented story collection called "Alien Sex" - the "double the manliness" thing reminded me of it. No mutant bread mold here, but the two magics could have a similar effect :-p)
Ranma soon joined his father in fainting, and as his world turned black, he could have sworn that...
Nah. There wasn't anyone around - so the snickering he heard must have been the wind... or something...
-- many many moons pass --
"And here, boy, should be the legendary training group of Jusenkyo!"
Ranma squinted at the valley up ahead. Another training ground - big deal.
He had other worries... specifically, his dreams. His very... strange... dreams. And, on a related note, his... physical abnormality (or rather, his physical abnormalities, plural).
He started having them a few months ago. At first he thought they were kind of like the ones the health teacher had mentioned in school... but his weren't, for the most part, perverted... and had... side effects.
Each night, he remembered the day before - in reverse. A bit creepy, but kinda neat, really. He could stop, speed up, or reverse the action at will; he could even change things as if he were actually there. Again, neat, and quite useful - he could watch his fights and figure out how to do things better.
No, the strange thing was that... OTHER people could remember them!
And then, there were the ones which involved... girls. And himself. And a general lack of clothing. And a whole lot of activity. And if such things ever happened when he was awake... a shotgun wedding (or just a shotgun).
That was how he figured out that other people remembered HIS dreams - perhaps even lived them.
A couple girls had mentioned that they had dreamed about him. The details they DID supply, and the way they had blushed when they mentioned it, had gotten him suspicious. Then...
Well, he didn't want to get into THAT again... let's just say that teenagers will be teenagers (even Ranma), and things had turned out... err... spookily accurate to all parties involved.
"Here we are, boy! Get ready!"
He snapped out of his reverie to look at this "legendary training ground" that his pop was so enthusiastic about.
A bunch of ponds, some bamboo poles, and a hut. This was it?
In response, Genma leapt to the top of one of the poles, and waited for Ranma to join him.
Unfortunately (and inevitably) the Jusenkyo Guide's warnings were not heeded, and both got wet.
