Ranma's New Life - Red Steel: The Hole In The Wall Gang [Episode 210873]

by Kestral

The bandits were composed of youths who didn't want the same world their parents had wanted. Things were so much better on Earth after all. THEY wanted to go back.

"Is she any better yet?" asked Ted, glancing over at Nancy as she entered.

"Kid had to have been hit by a rogue psychic type, only thing I can think of," said the aforementioned Nancy. "Any idea how one could have gotten near us?"

"None," said Ted. "She was just sitting at the table with her crayons and doodling something. Then WHAMO she's speaking in some foreign language and standing on the table waving a broom around."

"It's Japanese," said Nancy. "I only speak a little of it."

"Oh? Another of your thousand-and-one skills?" asked Ted.

"Nah, guy I dated for a couple of years was into that anime stuff," said Nancy. "I recognized some of the words being thrown out. 'gaijin' is 'foreigner' and 'maho' is 'magic' and 'she-nay' means 'kill you all' and 'tasukey-tay' means 'a giant robot is attacking and we should run.'"

"Japanese is sure a colorful language," remarked Ted.

"Poor Xi," said Nancy. "She was a good kid. We may have to drop her off in a dome."

"She's that bad?" asked Ted. "Yeah, I know we can't keep someone deranged around here - but she's all of what - five years old?"

"Six," said Nancy. "I've never thought having a kid around was a particularly good move in the first place. Whether she was that miner's daughter or not."

"Jin was the one who dug out these tunnels, smuggled the equipment out, and set us up so we could live free of the rules those sheep live with," said Ted. "When the others come back we'll dump her off in one of the agri-domes. She don't know enough about navigating on Mars to give away our location."

"Other than we're in wall in a canyon," said Nancy.

"He-LLO," said Ted with full sarcasm intended. "We're on frakking MARS. What other kinda habitat IS there besides the domes?"

"So what all do we have?" asked Ash. He figured while waiting for the next train (it being the fastest way to get from where they were to the next airlock) he could at least try to get things organized. Once the train was here, he'd have to return everyone to their pokeballs.

"Gyn gynoid," said Akane, apparently sulking now that she was out of her pokeball again. (A control collar.)

"Minsc has Boo!" said the big bald bodybuilder.

"Squee squee," said Boo. (I managed to fill two more pokeballs.)

"Gyn gynoid," said Akane. (Oh, of course no one pays attention to the mouse-type.)

"Squee sqiII squeak," admitted Boo. (It IS a useful skill.)

"Let's see," said Ash, apparently trying to figure out his pokedex with one hand while using a handweight in the other. "Voice On. Display roster - brief."

"Akane. Gynoid. Steel/Fighting. Level 4. Alpha.
Djinni. Air Element. Level 1.
Vixxen. Fire Element. Level 1.
Eva. Normal Element. Level 1.
Eva. Normal Element. Level 1.
Roselita. Level 4."

"Okayyyy," said Ash. "What if I click this tab?"

"Akane. Skillbase: Brawler with good strength and endurance.
Djinni. initial name - Mist. Domestic-oriented skillbase.
Vixxen. initial name - Silver. Acquisition-oriented skillbase.
Eva. initial name Small Lily. Basic domestic skillbase.
Eva. initial name Gentle Flower. Basic domestic skillbase.
Roselita. initial name Blackrose. Horticultural and artistic skillset."

"Gyn gynoid," said Akane. (Gee, THAT sounds useless.)

"Ro ro rose roSE," grumbled the plant-type. (As if I PLANNED to be chosen by a peasant.)

"Dji djinn djinni," consoled Mist. (Well, at least you're not in the general labor pool.)

"Rose. Rose lita lita," muttered the plant-type. (True. That is some consolation.)

"Nah, this won't work," said Ash. "Since it's normal to select names at this point, let's go with this. You're Kasumi. You're Nabiki. You're Sayuri. You're Yuka. You're Kodachi."

"Vix vixx vixxen yif," said Nabiki. (Has a nice sound to it. What does it mean?)

"Minsc has three?" asked Minsc as Boo displayed the pokedex she seemed to be more skilled at working than he was. "Boo is Titmouse, normal element, level 3. Specialty is coh-ver-t operations?"

"Squee squee," said Boo. (I'm building my skillset to eventually take the ninja certification.)

The big guy frowned as he read the screen. "Minsc see he also have:"
