Most wouldn't have expected to have seen her set about glowing like a neon light and tensing her shoulders as she fairly stomped over in their direction.
Then again, Kanna didn't exactly blame her, as she'd already heard about something that the human girl had gone through. "Oh, hi, Ukyo."
"Where is she?" Ukyo ground out.
"Eh?"
"Don't play dumb. You know she's a troublemaker."
"Yeah, but...."
"Where is that overgrown fur coat of a fox?" the chef demanded.
"Not available."
"Are you covering for her?"
The fighting pokegirl shook her head and waved her hands out in front of her. "Why would I help that living symbol of pride?"
"She really isn't available, Miss Ukyo," Sakura put in.
Scowling, the human brunette let her narrow eyed gaze move over each of the pokegirls there. "Then what's going on?"
"Well...."
"You might say that it's my fault," Kohran admitted. "You see, I put her away?"
"Huh?"
"She's inside of here."
"Inside of where?"
"Here," replied Kohran as she pointed towards her latest creations.
"That big mouth is supposed to be inside of that little ball?"
"Funny, right. Wouldn't think that it would fit," Kanna drawled. "But she's inside of there."
"Each of us is supposed to have one," Maria put in.
Iris sent the human a bleary look. "You see, that's how we're kept where we come from. Pokegirls, I mean."
"You guys are put into these things?" Ukyo murmured in disbelief, pointing down at the orb in question.
"It can be nice. We can nap and rest up. Plus, we don't have to do all the walking and climbing. We can just ride inside that, and come out when we have to."
"Then... she's in there right now?"
"I needed a test subject," Kohran admitted, but she smiled as she did so.
"Hmmm. That actually sounds good. But is she going to stay there?"
"No, she'll have to come out sooner or later."
"Wonderful."
"Really?"
"Yup. We can talk as soon as she's released," Ukyo stated as she began to crack her knuckles.
The pokegirls around her began to laugh nervously, while:
