Shampoo stared at the wet skunk-girl in the mirror. Why hadn't she changed?
Panic starting to set in, she tested the water with her hand - certainly hot enough to reverse a Jusenkyo curse. She splashed herself again to make sure, but still nothing happened.
What was going on? Hadn't she asked for her cat-form to be replaced with her new furry form? A sinking feeling accompanied the realization that she while she had tried to be as clear as to her desires as possible, when the demon repeated her request back to her he hadn't specified that only her cat-form would be replaced. Could he have misunderstood (accidentally or deliberately)?
She switched the tap from hot to cold, needing to know if she transformed at all anymore. She hoped the demon had just switched the hot/cold triggers, but doubted it. She also hoped that she didn't still turn into a cat - it would be rather annoying if even after making a deal with a demon she still scared her husband half the time.
When the water was cold enough, she splashed herself again, but there was no change. "Am I stuck in this form now?" she wondered.
On the chance she had a will-based transformation, she tried visualizing her human form and "willing" herself into it, but that didn't work either.
In desperation, she grabbed the contract, and scanned over it for signs of what exactly the demon had done to her and if there was a way to reverse it. A quick read-through provided no more insight than it had before. She started to read through it more slowly, but a pang of hunger reminded her that it was getting late.
Though she would prefer to be human when Cologne and Mousse returned, she could at least lie about how she had been transformed. There was no way she could explain the demon summoning materials.
Folding up the contract and hiding it in her clothes, she headed out to clean up the mess.
