"Where ya goin' Kasumi?" asked Nabiki, noticing that Kasumi was going somewhere with this great big tropical island to exploit. Err, explore.
"Bathroom," said Kasumi, then winced. She knew that now she'd inadvertantly thrown the suggestion out there...
"I gotta go too," chimed in Akane.
"Me three!" said Nabiki, who really didn't but wasn't going to miss out on the chance to explore.
Kasumi considered that, and how frail her mother still looked, and decided that it really would be best if the detail was taken care of quietly.
"Where'd they go?!" screamed Mrs Tendo about five minutes later, shaking her husband with surprising strength. "WHERE ARE MY BABIES?!"
"Gurk!" replied Soun Tendo, inwardly heartened at the display of strength and renewed vitality from his wife. Now if he could just breathe.
"Ranma," grumbled Genma. "Where are they?"
Mrs Tendo flicked her eyes to the portly friend of her husband, then to the little boy who was apparently just staring off into the distance.
Ranma frowned, moving his head slightly as he looked off at apparently nothing at all before flinching and looking towards his father. "Bathroom."
"Oh," said Genma.
"What are you talking about?" asked Mrs Tendo.
"Ranma has some... very special abilities," said Nodoka. "If he says he sees them, he sees them."
"Some sort of martial arts special manuever, Saotome?" asked Soun, not familiar with the technique himself.
"We'll get to that a little later," said Genma. "Let me show you the guest quarters for now. Sorry it's a bit sparse. We'll do the tour after you've rested."
"That actually sounds like a good idea," said Soun, watching his wife as the adrenaline rush from earlier wore off.
She thought that the way back was over this way...
"Akane, come back here!" said Kasumi, giving chase to Akane who was apparently chasing a butterfly into the open door of some kind of shrine.
"WHOA!" said Akane as she entered the room and found glowing crystals everywhere. "It's like an ice palace!"
Kasumi looked around, seeing the interior and wondering at it herself. It was slightly chilly in the room, but the crystals looked more like rock salt or something like that to her.
"MINE!" said Nabiki, pulling at one of the crystals and trying to get it free.
"No, not yours," said a baritone voice that somehow reminded Kasumi of that gaijin actor Marlon Brando.
"MINE!" insisted Nabiki, continuing to tug at the crystal.
A ghostly form rose up, of some man in white robes.
"EEK!" declared Nabiki, changing her mind and running away. "A GHOSSTTTTT!"
"I'm sorry, Mister Ghost," said Kasumi, bowing politely. "She's only five."
"Very possessive, isn't she?" asked the ghost.
"Yes, I'm very sorry," said Kasumi.
"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" declared Akane, the four year old running around in a blind panic. "A GHOSTTTTTTTT!"
"Excuse me, please," said Kasumi, deciding she had to go after Nabiki and calm Akane down.
"You do look like you've got your hands full," said the ghost.
