When they ran across human urban legends, they didn't see any reason that such things shouldn't exist. That there was no sign of such things merely meant those meddling kids had been busy.
Area 51 personnel discovered several layers of basements that hadn't been there before, with the addition of bulging-eyed alien corpses in cryogenic freezers and an alien spacecraft that included VACCUUM TUBES as part of its electronics.
People living in forested areas in Washington State, along wilderness areas in the mountains of Japan, and similar places had Bigfoot Sightings. In Flagstaff Arizona, one Bigfoot Sighting led to a Bigfoot (or Sasquatch if you prefer) getting bought a Happy Meal at the local McWonald's where he found the Fourth Doctor bobblehead enormously amusing.
The Loch Ness Monster proved a friendly sort who posed for pictures.
Some elves, who somewhat remembered being human, came out of Germany's Black Forest area to ask about possibly cutting back on the acid rain issue.
Forty two flights attempting to go through the Bermuda Triangle were lost before it was declared a No Fly Zone.
Denizens of New York City noticed that starving alligators were coming out of the sewers. This caused panic in some areas, and less affluent areas having impromptu barbeques.
And in other areas, something really nasty happened.
"Akane! How could you do that?!"
"I DON'T KNOW!" exclaimed Akane, backing away towards the wall.
"You've made things that taste bad before," complained Nabiki, trying to edge along one wall towards the door. "This is new. This is new and bad."
"It's got to be Ranma's fault, somehow," said Akane, trying to follow Nabiki's lead. That she was at least partly correct was not immediately apparent to either Tendo present.
Meanwhile, the creature formed of Akane's cooking finished eating the stove and turned towards the two humans before:
