And that was what Haruka liked about it. High class affairs were nice to enjoy in their turn, but the fact was that she wanted to let her hair down every so often. Well, with her hairstyle, that was more metaphorical than anything else, but she wasn't about to cut it that fine. Rather, she was just happy to enjoy what was a good time out with her friends and her husband.
It was nice to see her friends enjoy themselves as they were. If anything, Nabiki was proving to be a natural at this sort of thing, seeing as she was sliding through the crowds like she did it every day. At the very least, the boys liked what they saw, as they were quite happy to share in the shapely girl's playing around. Fortunately for that fun, Akane merely scoffed at the game that her sister was playing. The youngest sister was just too busy enjoying hanging out with her companions, and was apparently content in wandering.
But the big surprise was with Kasumi, but not because the elder girl was doing something unusual. Actually, she was being herself, as she was merely being polite and calm as she weaved about the crowd with the ease and grace that she used in everyday life. But unlike doing chores at home, or going to the market, this was a place full of people looking for a fun time, and many boys saw that possibility in her the demure girl. And that meant that Kasumi was becoming the object of much flirting and requests for dates.
Smiling at the attempts that the guys were trying to use to pick up the apparently oblivious girl, Haruka leaned in to her husband's side as he held an arm around her. "Do you think that they will actually get a chance with her?"
"Not a chance, but that ain't that bad," Ranma muttered, glaring at a group of college aged boys who were ogling his wife.
"You don't want her to get what we have?"
"I don't want her to miss being as happy as I am. If they can't make her like them like that, then they aren't worth bothering her."
"You know, sometimes you say something really right," the blonde commented, kissing his cheek as she did so.
Her husband blushed heavily, grinning mightily as he enjoyed the contact. Tightening his hold on her, he pulled her close in towards his side, and pressed himself towards her. Showing any sort of intimacy was still a bit of a challenge for him, at least in public, but he did so without reservation or question.
That was enough for Haruka though, and she smiled slightly as she enjoyed the close contact with her husband. She knew that plenty of women didn't even get a chance to share the sort of relationship that she had with her husband, so she knew that they were fortunate. It was enough for her to have something special to share with the man that she loved. Perhaps there was someone else that she could have been with, but as it was, she was perfectly happy to be with Ranma.
Life with him was her future, and she wanted that with all her heart, while:
